Pals Paper Arts 158

Posted on

Ahh. Saturday, usually the beginning of my weekend but not this week. I’ll be working this morning at an Over the Edge Charity event. I’m supposed to rappel, I’ll let you know if it happens. If there is no post tomorrow you’ll know it didn’t go well. LOL! Kidding… I hope!! What’s on tap for your weekend?

Today’s post – Pals Paper Arts 159, colors…

PPA 158

Definitely not a color combination that I would have thought of but they do go quite nicely together. I decided to have some fun with the Photopolymer Stamps. The base of my card is Pool Party. I created the background using the Show & Tell 1 & 2 Photopolymer Stamps Sets. I created a pattern in Pool Party and Lucky Limeade. The circle is Lucky Limeade and embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The image is also from the Show & Tell Sets, the letters from the Designer Typeset Alphabet. I really like how easy the stamps are to line up and the modern trendiness is great too! Thank you for stopping by to see my Pals Paper Arts card for their color challenge. I hope you have a great day and that I will see you tomorrow!

Woo hoo! The color renovation has been announced! I’m so happy that they have kept four of the five 2011-2013 In-Colors! I’m a little sad to see that Lucky Limeade didn’t make the cut but we also got some former In-Colors back too! Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride along with a new color Smokey Shadow. They have also moved some colors to different families and of course they are retiring some colors. Say so long to Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard and River Rock. Change is a good thing!

Stampin’ Up! has released their first Photopolymer Stamp Set! It’s called Designer Typeset! The great thing about Photopolymer Stamps is that they are completely clear so you can see exactly where you are going to stamp. They work amazingly with our new Firm Foam Stampin’ Pads for great ink coverage. You are going to love them! This is a limited release so make sure you get one before it’s gone!

Stampin’ Up! has a sneak peek for you from the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog and the best part is you can get it right now! I am so on the fence about ordering more photopolymer stamps until I see the new catalog, but these next two sets look intriguing. I really like the furled (?) banner and what you did with it. I used to love rappelling when I was in college (Douglass in New Brunswick, NJ), but that was many, many moons ago. Good luck! Nancy B

    • Thank you Nancy! There are no Photopolymer stamps in the new Catalog. They are so much fun though. I don’t think they were sure how well they would do, but this is the 3rd and 4th sets! I had a great time rappelling!
