Paper Craft Crew 51 & More Convention Pics

Posted on

Hello all! It’s kind of nice that it’s Wednesday already! I think I need every Monday off… how do you think that would go over at work?! Not well I’m afraid! I want to welcome all of my new followers and thank you all for your comments yesterday. My friend Brian was very kind to me in his post yesterday. We did have an amazing time and I can wait to go and see him in Atlanta soon.

So I know that I mentioned that I was lucky enough to get to do the some of the display samples at Convention this year. They put up a nice board to thank us and will you just look at the amazing company I had! WOW!

And the super nice Andrea Withers was the one who organized it all and here I am with her before the crowds got in!

It was so much fun to make the samples and I hope to get to do it again next year!

Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge…

PCCCS051 7-17-2013

It’s funny how sometimes you look at a sketch with flowers and you see a lighthouse! LOL! The base of my card is Night of Navy Card Stock. The background is created with a piece of Raspberry Ripple that I embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I did the same with a piece of Whisper White and backed that with a piece of Night of Navy. Next I adhered a piece of Raspberry Ripple 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the back before adhering it to the base. All of the stamped images are from the Settin’ Sail Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Night of Navy. The boat, lighthouse and banner are cut out with my Paper Snips, the sentiment in the middle is cut out with the Circle Collection Framelits Dies, The wheel is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and finally the lower greeting is punched out with the Hexagon Punch. A strip of raspberry Ripple is behind the banners and a flagged piece is behind the center greeting. They are all adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really like all of the fun elements in the Settin’ Sail Set and the colors are pretty neat together too! Thank you very much for stopping by to see my Paper Craft Crew card for this week’s sketch challenge. Head on over to the blog to see what the other team members have to inspire you with and enter your card in the gallery. Here’s to a sunny happy day! ๐Ÿ™‚

I just wanted to let you know how nice it was to meet you at Convention (we were the ones behind you and Brian in Joan’s WOW swap). I also want to thank you again for being my “bag boy” so to speak. I truly appreciate the help. That was my first Convention and swap in case you couldn’t tell :D!. I also checked out your blog and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Moved it right to the top!!! Thank you again! Have a great day and take care.

  9. Anchors away —GREAT card! that is the only set of the photopolymer set that so far has appealed to me–got it and LOVE it—but—maybe you can tell me—have you been able to stamp the “beach” word so that you can read it? Thanks, Nola

    • Thanks Nola! I had luck using one go the old ink pads. The Firm Foam pads are a little trickier with the Photopolymer Stamps hope that helped. ๐Ÿ™‚
