Paper Craft Crew 52, CCMC 261 & Display Project 4

Posted on

Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week! Dinner last night was very nice. We went to a mexican restaurant called Cara Cara in Farmingdale. The food was delicious and the company was great. I work with a very nice bunch of people and for that I am grateful! The weather around here has been very pleasant these past few days. Warm during the day and cooling off at night. I realized this morning I’m getting a little behind with my posts and that I hadn’t done my Create with Connie and Mary entry which closes today. So I have my CReate with Connie and Mary card and my Display Stamper project number 4 at the end of the post too!

Today’s main post is for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch 52…

PCCCS052 7-24-2013

I used some newly acquired Designer Series Paper and I’m loving the colors in it! The base of my card is Basic Gray Card Stock and the background is a piece of Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper. I also used some for one of the double ended flagged pieces, the other is a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe. The image is from the Cycle Celebration Stamp Set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay, I backed it with a piece of Gumball Green and a thin strip of Summer Starfruit goes across the top. The greeting is from the A Round Array Stamp Set and I stamped it in Summer Starfruit and Bermuda Bay. The Summer Starfruit one is punched out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and backed with a piece of Bermuda Bay that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. The middle of the Bermuda Bay one is cut out with the smallest of the Circle Collection Framelits Dies. I really do love the colors in the DSP and the bicycle is pretty neat too. Thank you for stopping by today to see my Paper Craft Crew Design Team Card for this week’s sketch challenge. Head on over to the blog to check out the other design team member’s projects and enter yours in the gallery. Scroll down to see my Create with Connie and Mary card and the fourth Display project. Sorry for the lengthy post! I hope you have an enjoyable day! 🙂

CCMC 261

When I saw the sketch I thought Paper-Piercing and then I thought let’s mix it up! The base of the card is Old Olive Card Stock. The main panel is a piece paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack*. I punched a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and adhered it on the left side. For the greeting I stamped an image from the Christmas Messages Stamp Set* in Baked Brown Sugar and punched it out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. Around that is a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I punched out with the 2 3/4″ Scallop Circle punch and cut the middle out with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies. The ornaments is from the Christmas Collectibles Stamp Set* and is punched out with the Christmas Ornament Punch*. A nice fun traditional color card with some sparkle!

  1. My goodness you are such a busy little stamper. Three cards today and I couldn’t even post one! Love them all, especially the Christmas card with the bit of glimmer detail. Have a nice day, Justin!

  2. Three in one day! Have you lost your mind? Please don’t answer that. My favorite is the first one with the bicycle and “you make me smile” sentiment. The colors are perfectly balanced, and who doesn’t like to smile?

  4. That’s a great Christmas card for the CCMC challenge! I love the little bit of glimmer paper peeking out on the edge. I also like how you “framed” the greeting on the card. All three cards are great! Thanks for playing the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge this week!

  5. This is great – 3 cards in one day. That’s awesome. Hope to see more like this. All these cards are great. Love that bicycle. Going to case the Christmas one for a swap-hehe. Very clever of you to cut apart the sentiment in the last card.
