Paper Craft Crew 54

Posted on

Ahh Wednesday! I like to think of Wednesday as the crest of the hill, now we are just sliding into Friday! Well, we didn’t get the torrential rain out here on Long Island like they said we would. It did rain here and there during the day and after 11:00 last night but not for very long. We are now going to start a stretch of lovely weather again! Yeah! Work was definitely much better today, it was actually pleasant! How are things going by you? Hope all is well!

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a nice sketch for you…

PCCCS054 8-14-2013

I deviated slightly from the sketch but kept the layout the same. The base of the card is Pool Party Card Stock. I took a piece of Crumb Cake and cut the middle out with the Oval Collection Framelits Dies and put a piece of Window Sheet over it. Some Epic Day This & That Designer Series Paper is adhered to the card base and the Crumb Cake piece is adhered over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the YOU out with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies from Calypso Coral and they too are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the One in a Million Stamp Set and is markered in Calypso Coral. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to put them next to each other. A thin sliver of the Epic Day This & That DSP is under that. I really like the way the YOU floats over the DSP and the colors are nice and soft. Thanks for checking out my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. Don’t forget to visit the blog to see what my teammates have come up with and enter your card so we can see your creative take! I hope that you enjoy your Wednesday! 🙂

  3. Justin – This is one of my favorites! I love it! It’s a stretch from the sketch (say that five times!), but the sketch inspiration is definitely there. I see accounting ledger paper in the background – I’m an accountant. I see crumb cake cardstock – I like cake. I see Pool Party paper – I went to a party at a pool once. Based on these observations, I can only assume this card is for me. THANK YOU, Justin. You mean so much to so many people, too.

    • Thank you Brian! Sometimes a little deviation from the sketch is a good thing. I’m so happy that you saw all of the clues that I left for you! You are such a clever boy! Enjoy your day and the card is in the mail! 🙂

  4. I like that look with the window sheet, the “floating” letters, and one of my “fave” DSP’s, Epic Day This and That.
