So remember yesterday when I said that I had no plans for this weekend? That all changed rather quickly! I’m going to have some breakfast with my friend Joe this morning and then I’m off to Manhattan with my work buddy Lisa to meet my city buddy Kim. We are going to see Elysium and have some dinner at Vapiano! I will have a full review for you tomorrow! LOL! What are you all up to this weekend? The weather is supposed to lovely here so that is always a good reason to get out and do something. My craft therapy will have to wait for tomorrow! 🙂
Today’s post contains my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts. We have a sketch challenge from the lovely Pixel Maven Nicole Watt…
The other day I had a little delivery from my friend the UPS man and the stamp I used on today’s card was in that cache! The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Smokey Slate with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The horizontal panel is a piece of paper from the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack that is backed with a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The large greeting is the new Be Merry Single Stamp. I inked it in Bermuda Bay and cut it out with my Paper Snips. The little holly berries looked a little dull so I got my Owl Builder Punch and punched out some Cherry Cobbler for them, they were much happier after that! I also used the punch for the piece of Smokey Slate that holds the Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to the piece of Cherry Cobbler that I cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. 3 Basic Jewels Rhinestones and one of the gorgeous Frosted Finishes Designer Embellishments finish the card. I really love the Be Merry Stamp and I did cover up the To/From with the banner to make it a little less gift tag looking. Thank you for popping by to see my Pals Paper Arts Card for this week’s sketch challenge. I hope that you enjoyed the card and that you will be back tomorrow for my reviews! LOL! Enjoy your day! 🙂

This is exactly the kind of Xmas card I’d expect from the master with a combination of great new products, however I think I’ve missed something. Can’t find that stamp in my holiday catalogue. Is it something special or only a US product? I want it and I want it now. LOL!
Why thank you Carolyn! You haven’t missed anything. It’s one of the new Holiday Single Stamps. Do you guys get the singles over in Aus?
If we don’t get it, can you smuggle it to me? I want to CASE you.pretty pls.
LOL! Shh, don’t tell! 🙂
Hey, you over done yourself, again! The Cherry and Slate colors, are striking together! What a wonderful card! The background writing, and the Winter Frost DSP stripe, really adds a lot of impact ! What a Beautiful card, I must say!!!
Is this one up for grabs?!
Not a stitch of Cherry Cobbler in this Designer Series Paper – yet, you’ve seamlessly incorporated it for Christmas perfection. Love this new single stamp and what you’ve done with the challenge.
Thank you Brian! It was a great sketch! I do love the new Single Stamp. I hope you have a awesome day! 🙂
Love this card. I just love that embossing folder – going to have to get it. Such a great idea to cover up the to: from: on the stamp. The little banner on the bottom is perfect.
Thanks Cynthia! I love that EF and the stamp is great. Enjoy your Saturday! 😉
I love the color combination you have used. I do look forward to your posts every day for a bit of inspiration!
Thank you Mary Anne! I’m so happy to inspire you! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day! 🙂
How clever to hide the To/From with the ribbon, never would have thought of that, guess that’s why I read your blog instead of blogging, lol. Hmmm thought your poor house was receiving some TLC this w/e, but better to go out and enjoy your friends, as we all know housework is never ending ;-(
Thank you Lynne! LOL! Yes, it may still get some TLC later on but it’s too nice to be inside today. The housework will be here when I return! Enjoy your day! 🙂
Justin, I just read about your wonderful creativity yesterday with the Thinlits and took a peak at your blog. I subscribed. You’ve done some amazing work with the flip-its cards!!!
*Love* your color combination on the PPA challenge. And I agree with Lynne regarding the way you hid the To/From on the tag. Great design!!!
Thanks so much also for sharing a peek into your NYC adventures. Sounds like *so* much fun!!! I’m a big city gal at heart. Grew up and lived much of my adult life in L.A. So, your stories evoke some nostalgia.
Thank you El! I’m happy to have you subscribe! I have so much fun making my projects and reading your comments! I appreciate you taking the time to leave one.
I do love Manhattan, unfortunately my plans got cancelled but it’s so nice I’m going to go for a little drive in the convertible. I’ll have some more stories and pics soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂
Thanks, Justin! I’m really looking forward to seeing more of your great designs and reading about your adventures. Thanks so much for sharing!
Eileen
