I really couldn’t be happier with the weather here this week. It has been just beautiful, perfect, lovely weather. Sunny and warm but not hot with a slight breeze, I wish it would stay like this all the time! It was another fun filled we have network issues day at work yesterday. Let’s hope that our so called IT department has it all straightened out today. The lack of internet access really impedes my progress! LOL! I’m pretty happy that it’s Thursday too! 🙂
For today’s post I have my Mojo Monday card for this week’s sketch from Julee Tilman…
As I looked at the sketch I thought hmm… this would be a good card for a spinner card and then I thought I have never made one of those before! Can you believe that?!?! My card starts off with a base of Old Olive Card Stock and a plain piece of Cherry Cobbler for the background. I used some Season of Style Designer Series Paper backed with some Old Olive for the base of my spinner. Using the Word Window Punch I punched out the slit. The greeting is from the Tags 4 You Stamp Set and is heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched out with the Label Bracket Punch. Some pennies and Stampin’ Dimensionals create the spinner on the back. A little Champagne Glimmer Paper cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and some gold sequins complete the card. I have to admit that I played with card for quite a while when I finished it and I thought today’s more traditional colors were a nice opposite to yesterday’s very non-traditional ones! Thanks so much for coming by to see my Mojo Monday Sketch card for this week’s challenge. Enjoy your day peeps! 🙂

Red, green & gold. Yep that says Christmas alright. Your spinner is a fantastic idea. Works so well with the sketch, Justin. Have a great day my friend.
Yes! A traditional color Christmas card! Thanks Carolyn! I hope that you have a great day too! 🙂
Ahhh yes, this is more like my Christmas style. Traditional colors. Guess I’m just old fashion. Lovin’ the spinner! Very cute idea for a Christmas card. Haven’t made one of these in quite a long time. Glimmer paper and sequins add just the right extra touch. Expect more beautiful weather to come your way courtesy of Ohio. We are having perfect fall weather her e in Ohio and the weather man is forecasting the same through the weekend.
Thanks Lisa! Yes, a traditional card is good every once in a while. Thanks for sending the nice weather my way, I appreciate it! 🙂
This is a great card, Justin! Your pictures capture the movement on the card, and I’m sure any of your closest friends would love to receive this one in the mail. 🙂 I quite like the incorporation of gold with these colors.
Thank you Brian! I’ll keep that in mind when I go to send out my holiday cards! 🙂
Super cool card Justin – I’ve never made a spinner card either. I love the use of the glimmer paper, I like anything that brings on the bling and this card really has it all. Fantastic job!
Thanks Grace! I thought it was about time! I love a little bling too! 🙂
I do love interactive cards! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Thanks Margarita! 🙂
You are so right, Justin, this fall weather in New England is just fabulous! My absolute favorite time of the year.
I’ve never made a spinner card either, so you’ve offered even more inspiration to try it out!
Yes Crystal, the weather is great! I’m really enjoying it! Yeah! It was a lot of fun to make! 🙂
Hi there!! Where did you purchase the slot stamp? I have been looking for one for quite some time!
Stamp meaning punch… thanks!
LOL! We sell them at Stampin’ Up! It’s called a Word Window Punch. 🙂
I will have to purchase one! 🙂 Thank you!!
You’re welcome! 😉
Well, leave it to you to make something this fun and lovely. I love cherry cobbler and old olive together, too! Very cool, Justin!
Thank you Georgie! 🙂
