There must be a petition someone could start to make the weekends three days! They just go way too fast! I had a busy day yesterday making my swaps for the Control Freaks Holiday Swap. I also made a few other cards and when I was finished I wanted to make some more. I have issues don’t I?!?! LOL! I love a little crafting! How did everything go with your weekend? We are to have more lovely weather this week here on Long Island! YEAH!!
Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players challenge. This week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Ann…
I went with the middle row across; Patterned Paper, Embossing & Any Shade of Blue. The base of my card is Island Indigo Card Stock. I used some Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my heat tool to emboss the greeting from the Snow Day Stamp Set across the bottom. The background is a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Two strips of paper from the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack frame the right and bottom. The image is also from the Snow Day Stamp Set, the snowman is stamped in Soft Sky, his eyes, buttons and arms in Early Espresso, his nose in Tangerine Tango and his hat and scarf in Island Indigo. I mounted him to a piece of Pool Party that I cut out with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. I think he is just the cutest little snowman ever, don’t you? So let’s review; dry and heat embossing, patterned paper and a few shades of blue, yup, looks like I covered them all! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today to see my Paper Players card for this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Ann. I hope you all have the best Monday ever! 🙂

Love this card, Justin! That snowman always makes me smile. As for a 3 day weekend, I think it is a wonderful idea (unless you are retired like me… 🙂 )
Thank you Kathy! He is a happy little snowman, isn’t he?! I wish I was retired, but for now I would take a three day weekend! 🙂
very cute!! I LOVE snowmen (just don’t care for cold and snow!)
I feel the very same MaryJo! I hate the winter! 🙂
What a super fun card Justin! It really brought a great big smile to my face, not that easy to do on a Monday morning I’ll tell ya’! Your snowman has so much personality and I just absolutely love the way you popped him up but left his stick arms flat. PERFECT! It’s supposed to be a great week here in Maine also. Foliage will be peaking within a week or two here on the midcoast and Wednesday it may get to 80. Summers last hoorah. Have a fantastic day.
Thanks Grace! I’m so glad to put a smile on your face with my little snowman! Our temps are supposed to be just like yours! You have a great evening! 🙂
This is so cute, Justin! Love that snowman and the greeting across the bottom embossed in Pool Party. And may I be the first to sign that petition?
Thanks Sandy! You certainly can be the first to sign! I’ll see if I can get that organized! 🙂
Hi Justin, just tell me where and I’ll sign that 3-day weekend petition! I love the snowman, even if it’s WAYYYYY too early too be thinking about snow here in Mass!
Wouldn’t it be great if we could get a petition going and make it happen?! He is a bit early, But I really like him! 🙂
I’m with you on the 3 day weekend! I’d gladly sign, along with the rest of the world 🙂
Beautiful card!
Yes Margarita, I’m sure there would be no shortage of signatures on that petition! Thanks, glad you like the card! 🙂
Always love a snowman card! So cute! Put my name down on your petition for a 3 day weekend. Even better, let’s go for all we can get.
I’ll keep a spot for you on the petition Lisa! I am a big fan of snowmen and I really do like this one! 🙂
This is such a wonderful card – from the offset layout to the fussy cut snowman. In all honesty, this is the best look for this snowman I’ve seen so far. It’s nice to have producting craft time on the weekends, isn’t it?
Thank you Brian! I think the strips of DSP mix it up a bit! He is a really cute snowman! Yes, I love when I have tons of productive crafting time on the weekend! 🙂
What a happy snowman! I like the way you cut out the snowman and then cut out the hat and scarf to put on the cut out snowman and left the other details flat. Clever and with great effects… I’m retired but I could still support a three-day weekend. Where do I sign?
Thanks Nancy! He definitely needed his accessories cut out! I know that you still remember the weekly grind, lucky you not having to deal with it! Happy that you would still sign with the rest of us! 🙂
Great card, Justin! Love this happy guy. His carrot nose pops against those cool colors.
Thank you Cindy! He’s definitely a fun snowman! 🙂
Okay Justin, I will HAPPILY sign that petition as well!! The only kind of weekend better than a 3-day weekend is a 4-day weekend… when you take a vacation day to add to your 3-day weekend!!!! Super cute deets on your snowman make him awesome!! His ink colors are terrifically tropical… perfect for the touch of summer we are having during this Fall week in New England!!! Enjoy!!!
I like your thinking Laurie! Glad you like the little snowman too! The weather is just amazing isn’t it?! Enjoy!
Yay, I already have this set, so you aren’t going to make me have to buy it after seeing this cutie-patootie creation! Love everything about this one and that pop of texture is perfection. Thank you so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! 🙂
Thank you Anne Marie! I wasn’t going to get him but I’m glad that I did! Have a great weekend! 🙂
