Fab Friday 28

Posted on

Well, it looks like our run of good weather is going to come to an end on Sunday night. We’re finally supposed to get some rain, but luckily the temperatures will still stay in the 70’s. It’s Friday today, which as you know, makes me a very happy person. Tomorrow, I will be going into Manhattan for a little while to see some peeps, and then back home in the evening for some crafty goodness because tomorrow is World Card Making Day!

Now for today’s card which is my Design Team card for this week’s Fab Friday color challenge…

Fab Fri 28 Colors 10-4-2013

The obvious choice for these colors was Halloween, and usually I wouldn’t do that but I wanted to play with my new Photo Polymer Set. The base of the card is Tangerine Tango. For the background I heat embossed the spiderweb from the Bite Me Photo Polymer Stamp Set with Basic Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Rich Razzleberry. I also did the same to two of the spiders and cut them out with my Paper Snips; Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them in place on the web. A piece of Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper goes across the bottom. My Old Olive tag is rounded at the top with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and flagged at the bottom. Some Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Halloween Bash Stamp Set give us the greeting and a piece of “Vintage” Very Vanilla 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon finishes off the tag. Three tickets from the That’s the Ticket Stamp Set stamped in Tangerine Tango across the bottom complete the card. My favorite part about the Photo Polymer stamps is that since they’re clear you don’t need a Stamp-a-ma-jig to get a perfect placement. I hope you enjoyed my Fab Friday Design Team card for this week’s color challenge. Creep on over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has for inspiration and enter one of your cards in the gallery. Thanks for crawlin’ by and have yourself a fab Friday!

  1. AWESOME!!!!

  2. I am not really in to Halloween cards but this one is pretty cool. I also meant to comment on your riding in your convertible with the heat on- I do the reverse here in Phoenix- I ride with the top down and air conditioning blasting! Have a great weekend and thanks for your blog- I really do enjoy it.

    • Thanks Marty! I usually use the Halloween cards I make as decorations around the house. LOL! I can see where you would need to do that in Phoenix! You have a great weekend too and thanks for stopping by!

  3. Spooky Justin! Love the embossed web…almost makes me want to touch it…almost but not quite lol! TFS!

  4. Justin!!! You are killing me with all these cute Halloween Cards! Love this one with the tickets on the bottom and the embossing is perfect! I plan on ordering the Bite Me set today 🙂

  5. Great card! Love all that rich embossing. Happy Friday, Justin!

  6. I love the layout on this card and the colors, of course, are just perfect for ultimate spookiness! Have a a great weekend, Justin!

  7. Totally love all the colors. I don’t usually do Halloween cards but I love your card. Also, I like how you use embossing powder quite often. It add’s such depth to a card. Another thing that I don’t use much. I need to kick start myself and use it more. Maybe if I have it sitting on my table and it stares at me I’ll use it. LOL Hope your weekend is filled with good times with friends and of course crafting.

    • Thank you Lisa! I have been on a big embossing powder kick lately! It’s such a great effect! Sitting nearby is definitely the key!! I wish the same for your weekend!! 🙂

  8. Now that I read your detailed (TFS) description of your card I see that indeed you were fussy cutting again! I’ll have to check that challenge and maybe make a card for World Card Making Day.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  9. What a perfect card for the Grandkids for Halloween! The colors are truly eye grabbing and that photopolymer set is THE Best. Great job Justin – yet again. You are really on a roll here! LOL

  10. OMG! Love this card! I love Halloween anyway, I just wish we could get the Bite Me set in Europe!
