Freshly Made Sketches 109

Posted on

Ready… set… it’s FRIDAY!! LOL! I do get rather excited at the prospect of the weekend don’t I?! Yesterday was back to busy at work but I knew that would happen. I went to the gym straight after work and am actually really enjoying it. After I came home I puttered around in the craft area and made a few things. That’s always my favorite way to end the day! I’m still not sure what I’m doing about the blog, I will keep you posted.

For today’s card I have my Freshly Made Sketches card for this week’s challenge from Jen M….

Freshly Made Sketches #109

A SUPER simple sketch wouldn’t you say?! I have done my best to keep my card as clean as possible. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. The background is a piece of Primrose Petals that I embossed with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. My main panel is a piece of Primrose Petals that I backed with a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Vellum Card Stock. I cut the love out with the Expressions Thinlits Dies from Gold Foil Sheet and adhered it with 2-Way Glue. I also used some more Gold Foil Sheet to cut out two butterflies with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the card. I like the change of backing the darker card stock with vanilla and I do love some vellum! Thanks for stopping by to see my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! You guys rock!! I hope that you enjoy your Friday! 🙂

  1. Love the “love” in gold – very striking. Nice work! Will be interested in hearing your decision on your blog, pros and cons between the two options you’re considering.

    • Thank you Carol! I just signed up for my GoDaddy hosted account. I’m going to do a little more research before I move the blog over. I’ll keep you posted. 🙂

  2. Great card! The vellum softens while the gold is bold and beautiful! Great pairing of embossing folder with sentiment and gold with Primrose.
