Fab Friday 30

Posted on

If you are reading this post, it means I’ve successfully gotten up on time to be at the college for work at 6:45 AM. My usual commute time is 10 minutes but this morning it’s been extended to 45, which does not make me a happy person. Thus, my usual enthusiasm for Friday is at a lull today. Hopefully I’ll make it through the day and I’ll be able to post again tomorrow. Only time will tell. LOL! My apologies once again for yesterday’s mishap with my mixed up stamp sets. Thanks again to Mary for pointing it out!

There is one good thing about today, it’s Fab Friday! This week we have a timely fall color challenge for you…

Fab Fri 30 Colors 11-1-2013

The base of my card is Early Espresso Card Stock. To create the background I used my Window Sheet mask and I sponged some Crushed Curry onto Very Vanilla. It’s mounted to a piece of Crushed Curry and then adhered to the card base. My three ornaments are from the Christmas Collectibles Stamp Set and are stamped in Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Old Olive. They are all punched out with the Christmas Ornament punch and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Down in the right corner is the greeting from my new favorite stamp set, the Endless Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Old Olive and Cajun Craze. I really do like the sunburst effect and apparently I’m not the only one that likes the Endless Wishes set because it’s on backorder! Thanks very much for coming by today to see my Design Team card for this week’s Fab Friday color challenge. Be sure to stop by the blog and see what the other talented designers have come up with. Don’t forget to enter your card so we can see your take! Have a fabulous Friday!

  1. It’s rainy and dreary here in Maine today Justin but when I viewed your card it brightened up the day for me. Everything about it is so crisp and colorful. I just love it! Good luck today at work. A few more hours and your free for the weekend!

    • It rainy and dreary here too Grace. That makes me smile to hear that my card brightened your day! The morning went pretty fast so I’m the hoping the afternoon does the same. Enjoy the rest of your day!

  2. If your card doesn’t brighten up your Friday, you are doomed to the dreary. The yellow does not call for a White Christmas — bright and sunny is good for travelers. Now I have to go back to your mask and make myself a copy of it. Your card is refreshing and the sun came out here after one of the windiest, rainiest storms last night. Have a great weekend! • Thanks Nancy! Yes, it was a dreary Friday here. I can do without a white Christmas, I don’t care for snow. The sun finally came out here around 3:00. I hope you have a wonderful weekend too! 🙂

  3. Very cheerful Justin. Just what I need lately. Hope the weekend is good. Here in ON (Canada) we are “falling back” one hour… one more hour to sleep on Sunday! Yippee!

    • Thanks Louise! I needed it today too! Busy weekend ahead, always the case. The extra hour will be nice but I don’t like that it will be dark at 5:00. 😦
