Paper Craft Crew 67

Posted on

So it snowed this morning and in my opinion, it is far too early to have that happen! Not to mention the fact that it was FREEZING and very windy. I’m definitely not a fan of the winter! I did have a nice dinner with Andrew last night and a good workout at the gym. So the good balanced with the bad, and it’s a wash. LOL! Wednesday means it’s time for this week Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. And here’s the sketch we have for you this week…

PCCCS067 11-13-2013

My card starts off with a base of Old Olive Card Stock and my background is a simple piece of Soft Sky. Across the middle is a piece of paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack. Some Soft Suede backs it and across the bottom I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. Across the middle is a thin strip of Soft Sky and tucked behind is a piece of Old Olive cut out with the Circle Card Thinlits Die. My greeting is from the Christmas Messages Stamp Set and is stamped in Old Olive, backed with a piece of Old Olive and a piece of Cherry Cobbler cut out with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die goes across the bottom. The flower is punched out with Boho Blossoms Punch from Soft Sky and Soft Suede with a Basic Jewels Pearl in the middle and three more across the label complete the card. I really like the Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Sky together and the distressed look of the greeting is fun. Thanks for stopping by to see my Design Team card for this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Stop by the blog to see what the rest of the designers have and add your card to the gallery so we can see your take on the sketch. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  1. Justin – that card looks like it took hours to make with all those components. Quite an intricate sketch to work with but you handled it beautifully. My eyes were immediately drawn to the pearls. Great job. Oh, by the way, you got snow on Long Island, we had sunshine in Maine. Go figure. LOL

  2. Joyful Tidings to you Justin! This is a very nice card…I love the lines of this, the tasteful trim die, the dsp and the border punch. Sending warm thoughts your way—Spring will be here before you know it!! Have a great day!

  3. Just think of the cold as a ‘refreshing wake up’. The cold wind blowing all the cobwebs away and starting fresh and new with room for more creative genius. Not working? I tried. Please don’t take it the wrong way. All your creations are very fresh and interesting. I believe I’ve stated before that I’m a traditional Christmas color gal, but Soft Sky and Soft Suede add a warm inviting touch. Bundle up.

    • Thanks Lisa! I will try to do that tomorrow morning! I know that you are very traditional when it comes to Christmas cards, I did get the red and green in there! 🙂

  4. Such unusual colors and it works so well. Very warm feel indeed. Love it.
It snowed here too and it was cold and windy this morning. We did have a bit of sunshine this afternoon, but it’s still cold! Stay warm.
