I know that I say it every Monday but the weekend goes way too fast. It was gloomy here all day and I felt a little gloomy myself, I made the mistake of listening to too much sad music I guess. I did manage to get a lot of my projects done yesterday so that was a good thing. I even got to stop by and see my friends Kim and Brian and little Izzy and Savannah and let’s not forget Kevin! It’s the start of a new week and as always I’m just waiting for Friday! LOL!
The only good thing about Monday is that it’s time to for the Paper Players. I wanted to thank Ann for choosing my card as her Headliner for last and her lovely write up. You can see my original post here and the Paper Players post here. Now for this week, we have a CAS project with leaves from Nance…
I debated for a while what I was going to use and then the card materialized in my little brain! The base of the card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I wrapped some Linen Thread around the card and tied it in a bow. My leaf is cut out with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die from Gold Foil Sheet and I tucked it under the Linen Thread. I used some Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder to heat emboss the greeting from the Harvest of Thanks Stamp Set and cut it out with my Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the base. A very CAS card indeed but I love the rich slightly rustic look. Thanks for stopping by to see my card for this week’s Paper Players CAS with Leaves challenge from Nance. I hope that you enjoyed the card! Now go and enjoy your day! 🙂

Thanks Karen! I’m flattered that I inspire you! Thank you for taking the time to comment! 🙂
Love the look of clean and simple Justin. Add to that the fact that I also love shiny and we have here the perfect fall card. My goodness, sometimes CAS can be breathtaking and this card is a great example of that. Thanks, as always, for sharing with us.
Thanks Grace! I love a little shiny myself! So glad you enjoyed the card! Thank you for letting me know! 🙂

Very CAS indeed Justin but oh so so awesome and gorgeous! What a classy card… but what can one expect from such a classy guy right! Love it! Totally casing this idea too….
Another gloomy day here too… we had so much wind overnight and during the storm, and it is still very windy today. But nothing like in the mid-west though…. here a few trees down and garbage everywhere but other than that, all is OK.
Have a good Monday and a great week!
Thank you Louise! You are so sweet! It’s not too bad here, some sun and lots of wind, better than rain! Enjoy your day!! 🙂
very beautiful but should I expect less (wink)
Thank you very much Donna! 🙂
I need to get me some gold foil sheets. So simple yet very elegant! Although the linen thread adds just the hint of rustic too. Thank you Justin for your creativity.

I would call this understated and elegant, simple and beautiful. Who wouldn’t want to receive such a wonderful card? And I don’t want to even think about you being gloomy, Justin. ‘Tis the season to be jolly! 😉
Thank you Georgie! LOL! Yes, it is the season to be Jolly, I did it to myself and I’ll get over it. 🙂

perfect use of the foil sheets, Justin. The gold leaf pops against that pure background and all that white space makes my heart happy.
