Off to today’s post we go and it’s my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS068 11-20-2013

For my card base, I used Calypso Coral Card Stock and for my background I dusted off an oldie-but-goodie, my “Vintage” Distressed Dots Background Stamp stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla Card Stock. My main image is from the Simply Sketched Host(ess) Stamp Set stamped in Soft Suede and backed with a piece of Gumball Green. The two flags are pieces of the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper and they are adhered to the panel with SNAIL. The greeting is from the Chalk Talk Stamp Set stamped in Soft Suede and punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. I used the Circles Collections Framelits to cut out a piece of Gumball Green to back it. Stampin’ Dimensionals hold the greeting and panel to the base of the card. To finish off the card I used the “fork method” to make my bow from Gumball and a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it. Every once in a while I miss one of my stamps, which is why you saw the Distressed Dots today! I appreciate you stopping by to see my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. Head on over to the blog to see what the other designers have come up with for the sketch and don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery! May you all have a wildly wonderful Wednesday!

  3. Love this card. So soft in colors. Reminds me to use my large background stamps more often. Thanks a bunch. 🙂

  5. I also miss using older stamps. You bought them in the first place so you should use them. I have a hard time parting with my stamps. I do not have the distressed dot stamp, wish I did. Seem to forget about the fork method of tying bows. No wonder I struggle. Note to self…..try to remember next time. Okay, on to your card……………….absolutely loving it in everyway. Your pick of colors win me over. Am a big fan of Calypso Coral. Always love the Control Freaks Blog Tour.

    • Thanks Lisa! Yes, I miss my older stuff and I never get rid of anything! I do use them from time to time so it’s ok! The fork method is the only way I can tie a neat bow! 🙂

  7. Great card. I bought this ‘vintage’ stamp recently…. I too can never part with my stamps (which is probably why my craftroom is now spreading into the guest room LOL.
And note to self, just like Lisa: not only remember it but learn it properly…
Your projects for the Control Freaks tour are awesome! Have not completed the whole tour but will do….
