Paper Craft Crew 69

Posted on

I got some very exciting news this morning, it turns out I don’t have to go to work on Friday. Woo hoo!! 🙂 And if all goes well, we’ll get out a little early today! It was not an overly nice day here yesterday, it rained most of the day and it’s supposed to rain again all day today. I’m actually kind of glad that I don’t have to travel anywhere for the holiday seeing as the weather is clearly not going to be great for traveling. If any of you have to go anywhere this week, I hope you have a safe trip!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS069 11-27-2013

For the base of my card I used a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. The background is a piece of Cherry Cobbler that is embossed with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. My main image and greeting come from the Santa’s List Stamp Set. The image is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On and the greeting in Cherry Cobbler. A piece of Basic Black is also embossed with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and both that and the main image are backed with a piece of Gold Foil Sheet. The three I ❤ Santa stamps are from the Very Merry Tags Stamp Set. They are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch. I really like the image from the stamp set, it has that old news print feel to it and the Gold Foil Sheet just gives the card that extra pop! As always, thanks for stopping by today to see my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Hop on over to the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team members have come up with and don’t forget to enter your card in the gallery so we can see your take on the sketch! I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving (and a Happy Hanukkah if you’re Jewish!) and I’ll see you back here tomorrow before the big dinner or maybe for dessert! 🙂

  4. Fabulous card Justin. What a difference a little gold foil paper makes! What a great stamp that is, absolutely the perfect Santa face for sure. I always appreciated a 4 day weekend when I worked full time. Especially if it was a surprise! You have earned the extra day I’m sure so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Happy Thanksgiving.

  5. So I am guessing that you are not traveling to all your invitations that we extended? I think your card today is so much fun. Now I have to make sure I have this tag set. This holiday catalog was a good one. I am already looking forward to the next Occasions catalog and, of course, SAB. Enjoy all your time off from work and Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Hanukkah too! We had snow yesterday and last night with overnight temps in the teens! Our fireplace is stoked up and throwing out the heat with fragrant wood. Stay safe and warm…Nancy B

  6. Lots of people will be disappointed Justin…. but better be safe than travelling in bad weather. It is snowing a little bit here right now but I think again we will be lucky and avoid the worst of it. It’s mainly to the East of us this time.

Love your card. Love that Santa. He is the one I used for the cards for the grandkids, with the French sentiment of course.

You have a nice long weekend. Enjoy the well deserved rest.

    • Yes, Louise! I am not a fan of car rides on holidays especially when the weather isn’t great. I hope you continue to avoid the snow!

I’m glad you like the card! I have a few French sets, my friend Chantal is from France. I think the language is very beautiful!

I hope that you have a nice evening and that your snow stays away! 🙂
