Happy Black Friday! Did you do any midnight shopping? I was good and stayed home, I had too much other stuff going on yesterday! I finished cutting out the pieces for the additional bookmarks for work, I just have to assemble them this morning. I also didn’t end up staying home for Thanksgiving. My good friend Sandy invited me to her house for dinner with her family. I had a wonderful time and she is an amazing cook. I don’t think I will have to eat at all today! LOL! I hope that all of you had a very nice Thanksgiving too!
Not only is today Black Friday but it’s also time for Fab Friday! This time around we have a color combo for you…
I had a vision of what I wanted my card to look like, I just had no idea how much I would end up pulling out to get it that way! My card base is Coastal Cabana Card Stock and the background is a piece of Real Red that I embossed with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next up I flagged a piece of Gumball Green and adhered it to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Now for the collage which starts off with a Tea Lace Paper Doily. I used some old and some new stamps to create the collage and whole bunch of punches! In there are stamps from the “Vintage” Tags ‘Til Christmas, Best of Christmas, Very Merry Tags, “Vintage” Stitched Stockings and Festive Flurry Stamp Sets and the Christmas Tagables Photopolymer Stamp Set. To punch them out I used the “Vintage” Large Tag, Ornament and Stocking Builder, Decorative Label, Petite Curly Label, Mosaic, Christmas Ornament, 7/8″ Scallop Circle and 1″ Circle Punches. Now that’s a lot of punches and stamps! LOL! They are all stamped in Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Gumball Green. Oh, and there is a snowflake from the Festive Flurry Stamp Set cut out with the Festive Flurry Framelits peeking out too! I really do love the randomness of the collage look and yes, it’s a lot of product but it’s also a lot of fun! Thank you for checking in with me to see my Design Team card for the Fab Friday color challenge. Head on over to the blog to see what my talented teammates have done with the colors and enter one of your creations in the gallery so we can see your take! I hope that you enjoy your shopping if you are doing any and have a Fab Friday! 🙂

This card makes me want to run straight back to my stamp room and get busy. I love the tags and ornaments on the pretty doily. This is wonderful, Justin!
Woo hoo! That’s great to hear Georgie! It was a fun card to make! And who does’t like a stamp and punch?! 🙂
Simply beautiful! I’ve never done collage before, may have to try. I know it can’t compete with yours. Glad to hear you had and nice and tummy full Thanksgiving at your friend Sandy’s. I fixed a little dinner for my husband and I. Very low key. His surgery went well on Tuesday. Now comes the hard part. Rehab.
Thank you Lisa! I’m sure that you collage card will be wonderful! Yes, great Thanksgiving! I’m so glad to hear that your husbands surgery went well. Yes, rehab isn’t easy. I’ll keep you both in my thoughts. 🙂
Love this! Another fabulous share from you!
Thank you very much Denise! 🙂
Justin…this card is totally terrific ! I love it ! I love collage that`s done well …(know what I mean ?) This is a winner ! Maybe you need to eat at Sandy`s more often …musta been something you ate that fired up this great creation !!
Thank you Sonny! I do know what you mean, I love collage but it can be a little messy. LOL! I’ll let Sandy know, I’m sure she would love that! LOL!
Hi Justin-Love this card! 😉 Seriously though, love all the components of it. It reminds me of a christmas stocking chock full of goodies sticking out of it. So much to look at and the doily grounds it all. Great color combination too! Have a great Friday and have fun stamping. Enjoy!
Hello Karen! That was my thought, just a big load of holiday! I hope you have a lovely day too! 🙂
I love this card, too, Justin! *So* fun!!!
Thank you very much El! 🙂
You’re amazing! Your brain must never sleep and if it does, it has to be on dream mode. Where do you come up with all these ideas? What’s the size of the card? It’s nice and full, but not to overwhelming. Good job, have a great day!
Wow! Thank you very much Donna! The ideas just float around. I actually “saw” this card before I put it together. It’s a standard card. I’m so glad that you like the card and hope that you have a great weekend! 🙂
Another creation that I love! You have inspired me to get all my Christmas stamps out and collage them! I will have to gather plenty of dies and punches too. (Probably won’t happen this year). I am making my turkey tomorrow, so come on down! Tomorrow, I am also decorating the local public library display cases with my Santa collection. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I’ll set a place for you! Nancy B
Thank you Nancy! It’s fun to mix up different stamps! I did use a lot of stuff but I have it so why not?! I know a lot of people that are doing Thanksgiving on the weekend! I would love to see your library display! I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂
WOW!! just WOW!! I have seen a couple of your creations on Brian’s blog so I feel like I sort of “know you”. I have to say, this card is a GREAT example of how to use multiple stamp sets and other products in one fell swoop! I LOVE it! I don’t think it’s too busy at all..in fact, I love the fact that whatever you used, just fits in and works so well. The doily sets the stage for all those other little gems to gently lay on top of it. Great great card! I may have to try this after Christmas….perhaps for a Mother’s Day card? I am thinking…maybe make a “garden of flowers” with that delicate doily. Thanks so much for the inspiration! I am adding you to my follow list. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas Justin!
Hi Bobbi! I’m so happy that you like the card! It was fun to put together! That would be a nice idea for a Mother’s day card. So glad to have you follow along! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you too! 🙂
I love it, it’s like Christmas wreath of goodies! I have such a hard time using doilies but this is a GREAT job!
Thanks Erika! The Doilies make a great base for all kinds of things! 🙂
Such a fun card!
Thank you Patti! 🙂
