Pals Paper Arts 181

Posted on

Happy Saturday! We have made it through Thanksgiving and Black Friday successfully! I had a nice day yesterday, Andrew came by and I went to drop off the bookmarks at work then off to let the dogs out. We had some breakfast and ran some errands. After I met up with Heather and we did a little shopping after the crowds had dissipated, had a late lunch and hung out at my house, then we took a ride to let dogs out again. I came home and crafted and by then it was bed time. A really nice day indeed!

Before I get to today’s post I want to thank Patti for choosing my card as her pick for last week’s Pals Paper Arts. You can see my original post here and the Pals Paper Arts post here. Now this week we have a nice simple sketch…

PPA 181

After my fun full card yesterday I thought a nice simple one was needed! My card today starts off with a base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. The background is a piece of Crumb Cake that I stamped in Crumb Cake with the Woodgrain Background Stamp. Next up is a piece of Season of Style Designer Series Paper. For my chevrons I punched out some Champagne Glimmer Paper with the Chevron Border Punch and another piece is used for the arrow across the bottom. My greeting is the Magical Season Single Stamp inked in Cherry Cobbler and cut out with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold the greeting and the glimmer paper to the card. Simple but sparkly with a woodsy feel. Thanks so much for spending some time with me today to see my Pals Paper Arts card for this week’s sketch challenge. I hope that you all have a nice relaxing Saturday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin! Another great card! I love that Magical Season stamp…and the simplicity of this card is amazing, yet it says so much! Ok..you’ve now talked me into the champagne glitter paper and chevron border punch. Need to put those on the top of my wish list (which seems to grow larger by the day!) Have a fantastic Saturday!

  3. Hey Justin, I am thinking WOW! This card can be sent to anyone, but it has masculine written all over it. Love it, the colors compliment each other very well. Great job. I so look forward to your creativity each day, that l save yours for last. I may not comment every day, because I would always be saying the same thing, but keep up the great work. Have a good evening. Till tomorrow, tah-tah for now.

  5. Great work, Justin! I love how the plaid in the DSP implies even more chevrons – what a great way to bring the design together!
