Mojo 323 & Sneak Peek

Posted on

Work was… dare I say… pleasant?! I did have to take a little 30 mile ride to East Setauket for a little media set up, but again, out of the office is always a good thing! It was rainy and cold here all day yesterday and we are supposed to get some snow here today. Ugh, that’s all I’ll say about that. I had my crafty time so that makes everything better! Love playing with new goodies!

Today’s card is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge provided by Julee Tilman…

Mojo323

I used some new goodies from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Catalog and some from the 2014 Occasions Catalog! The base of today’s card is Pool Party Card Stock. My strip of paper on the left is from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper Pack**. I adhered it to a piece of Sahara Sand for extra stability and wrapped some Linen Thread around it before adhering it to the base. A piece of Gold Foil Sheet cut out with the Starburst Framelits Dies* is the first layer for my stamped images. Next up is a piece of Whisper White that I punch out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. All of the stamped images are from the Petal Parade Stamp Set** and are stamped in Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Summer Starfruit. I used the 1 3/4″ and 1 1/4″ Circle Punches to punch them out and some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them in place. My greeting is from the Just Sayin’ Stamp Set* and is stamped in Sahara Sand and cut out with the Word Bubble Framelits Dies*. I love the colors in the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper* and I still can’t get enough of the gold! Thank you very much for stopping by to see my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. I always appreciate your visits and your comments make my day brighter! Have an excellent Tuesday! 🙂

  2. Hello from the arctic north Justin! Bone-chilling temps here this morning! Love this card! The dsp is beautiful and I love what you did with the round starburst framelit in gold. The word bubble along with your choice of sentiments fits this card so well! Great job…again!! Have a great Tuesday, enjoy your little ride today!

  5. HI Justin:
The starburst resembles sunshine to me and boy, we sure could use some of that here in Maine! Great card and exactly at the right time. I need to get busy with Thank You cards for after Christmas. Great card, very uplifting. Glad you had a good day at work yesterday – almost hump day, hang in there. Hubs is out plowing the driveway. Better him than me. LOL

    • Thank you Grace! Yes, now that you mention the sunshine I can see it too! We could use it here today with the snow. Bleech! I have to get busy with Christmas cards, I’m way behind this year! Yes, tomorrow and then almost Friday! You shouldn’t have to plow the driveway!LOL! 🙂

  6. Hey, Justin! I just love your sneak peeks! I appreciate the sunny attitude of your card today. It has just snowed three inches more here. My husband has been a plowing-and-salting machine since Thursday — I do not like snow, ice, cold, or humidity, all of which we have in abundance. To finish, I do love the gold and silver sheets and I’m afraid if I don’t get enough out of this holiday catalog, I may never see them again, so I stocked up. Have a great week! Nancy B

  10. Beautiful card Justin. Love those colors. Should be getting my DSP tonight (hopefully the UPS truck will make it through the snow falling rather heavily right now). Really great take on the sketch. This one is sitting on my desk…. just have to make up my mind which paper to go with… LOL … and by then if my box has arrived…. ha ha ha more decisions (indecision)..
