Fab Friday 33 & Sneak Peek

Posted on

Friday! Friday! FRIDAY!!!!! Yes, kids, it’s Friday. You know I loves me some Friday! And boy am I glad that this week is done! The weekend holds a lot of stuff for me to do, though. I need to put up my tree, make my Christmas cards, work on my presentation and attend a party on Saturday night. Good luck to me! What’s on for your weekend?

The best part about this Friday is that it’s Fab Friday! This week we have a nice simple sketch…

Fab Fri 33 Sketch 12-13-2013

My card is very clean and simple compared to what you’ve seen on my blog lately. The base of my card is Sahara Sand Card Stock. I used the Banners Framelits Dies* to cut out two pieces of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper** and two pieces of Crisp Cantaloupe to go behind the face of my “ribbon”. My stamped image is from the Starburst Sayings Stamp Set*, stamped in Summer Starfruit and cut out with the Starburst Framelits Dies*. I stamped it again in Pool Party and cut out the word “world” and popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Basic Black cut out with the same framelits goes behind and that completes the card! I hope you enjoyed my simple card with some more sneak peeks for you today! Don’t forget to stop by the Fab Friday blog to see what my Design Team cohorts have done with the sketch and upload your card into the gallery so we can see your take on it. Have a fabulous Friday!

  1. Hi Justin! Here’s to Friday! Great the starburst framelits. I love this layout and the new dsp is awesome! Hard to pick a favorite from all the new goodies, isn’t it? Enjoy your weekend. I have shopping and wrapping and baking on my to do list. Enjoy your day!

    • Good morning Karen!
Here’s to Friday indeed! Thanks! The Starburst Framelits are great. It definitely is hard to pick a favorite! I hope that you have a nice weekend too! You have a lot on your list as well! Hope we get it all done! 🙂

  2. Boy Justin – that Starburst framelits set is going to be a best seller, I can tell. And really, how much more perfect use could there be for it then what you’ve done to create this fab card! I can’t wait to see the new catty because of all the great sneak peaks you and Brian have been giving. The hubs is not such a great fan of Fridays. Friday at our house is housework day and he tells me all the time that it seems like there are 3 or 4 Fridays every week. Boy, that’s not how it was before we retired………… those days it was “is Friday EVER going to get here”!. LOL You enjoy your weekend.

  3. Finally something I received in my order. Both sets of framelits and DSP. Very nice, quick and simple card. I may just have to case this. Do you have a Justin to stay at home and complete all tasks as well as a Justin to go out and attend all of your various functions? LOL You have a busy weekend ahead. Hope all goes well.

    • LOL! I knew I would hit upon something eventually Lisa! It is a nice simple card, we need those every once in a while, right?! That would be great if there were two Justin’s, alas there is just one! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  4. New paper? New sayings? It is so hard to wait for the new catalog! Oh well, it just gives me something to look forward to. What a wonderful, sweet/happy card.
