SUO Challenges 86

Posted on

Snow, more snow, I don’t really care for snow. We have had a lot of snow this year already. I would like the winter that we had two years ago, I think we had one snow storm and then the that was it. I did like that a lot! LOL! Yesterday was a pretty good day for a Monday, not too insane at work and quiet when I got home. I crafted a little and then watched the Sing Off. I don’t watch TV at all usually, thanks Andrew! LOL!

My post for today is for the SUO Challenges and this week we have a very timely challenge for you. It actually helped me out a lot! We ask you to create last minute Christmas cards and gifts. I definitely needed some more cards and I wanted them to be easy to make a bunch of. I looked around for the perfect stamp set and settled on the Endless Wishes Photopolymer Set. It’s one of our most popular sets! The bases of the cards are all Very Vanilla Card Stock. Pieces of Cherry Cobbler make a nice base for my stamped panel. Some more Very Vanilla takes on the stamps. I used Soft Sky, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Gumball Green for the snowflakes. All of the greetings are stamped in Cherry Cobbler to tie in the backing. Simple but fun and way better than any boxed cards you could buy and so much more personal! When you have a lot of cards to send out simple can be great! I hope you enjoyed my stack of last minute Christmas cards for the SUO Challenges. Head on over to the blog to get some more ideas for your last minute projects and share one of yours with us by adding it to the gallery. Thanks for spending some time with me today and enjoy! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin! Love the simplicity of this card! The Endless Wishes is another one of my favorite stamp sets…I’ve used it many times this season. This is wonderful card and very easy to mass-produce! I hear you on the snow…we had some yesterday and it’s snowing again right now. I need to get organizing my new goodies…another box came yesterday! So much fun! Have a great Tuesday!

  2. How much simpler can it get? This set is so much fun. I’m so glad I got mine right out of the gate before it was on backorder and then not available. What a winner for SU. I have all my cards mailed but if I didn’t I would be using this for a quick go to. Thanks so much. By the way, ever consider relocating to warmer climates? LOL You need just enough snow to have a white Christmas. Have a good one.

    • Thank you Lisa! Yes, nice and simple! It was definitely a very popular set! My card will all be done by tomorrow, later than usual but time just gets away from me! I have been toying with idea of a warmer climate, I don’t even need the white Christmas! Enjoy your day! 🙂

  4. Hi Justin:
I absolutely LOVE the snow but not the sub zero temperatures we are having. It’s so cold the past few days that the snow actually squeaks when you walk on it! LOL

Endless Wishes is also one of my favorite sets. I really love the photopolymer stamps. They are so easy to use, easy to store and easy to clean. Your card is such a great example of CAS. That’s my style. Great job and the recipients will be thrilled to receive the hand made card I’m sure.
