Mojo 324 & Sneak Peeks

Posted on

It was another extremely frigid day here but thankfully it was the last one we’ll have for a while. It’s going to be in the 40’s tomorrow and it will get up to 60 on Sunday. Yay! Work was nice today, I even had time to clean up my emails. My boss took a half day and I ran to the post office and mailed my Christmas cards. I came home, got my blog projects done for tomorrow’s Control Freaks Blog Tour and watched The Sing-Off (again, thanks, Andrew!). All of the groups were actually really good tonight. My favorites got through!

Today I have what would have been my usual Tuesday post, my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo324

I used some of the new Sale-A-Bration products on my card for your viewing pleasure. The base of my card is Pool Party Card Stock. My background is a piece of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper** backed by a piece of Summer Starfruit. The larger strip across the bottom is Crisp Cantaloupe stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in Crisp Cantaloupe. My greeting is stamped in Pistachio Pudding and is from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set. The three flags across the top are from the Banner Blast Stamp Set** and are stamped in Pistachio Pudding, Summer Starfruit and Crisp Cantaloupe. I used the coordinating Banner Punch** to punch them out and some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them at the top. I wouldn’t normally use a bold piece of Designer Series Paper that large but I kind of think it looks funky and I like it. As always, I appreciate you stopping by to see my Mojo Monday card for this week’s sketch challenge. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peeks. Have a terrific Thursday, I’ll see you back here later tonight for the Control Freaks Blog Tour!

  2. Hi Justin! Another wonderful creation from you! I do love this paper collection…such great colors and the patterns are all so different. I like what you did with this card! Enjoy your warmer weather, we are supposed to warm up a bit, then we’ll have some rain, turning to freezing rain and then more snow. Yay! (Not really!) I like the snow up til Christmas, then it can all go away! 🙂 Have a great day!

    • Hello Karen,

Thank you! Yes, I am big fan of the DSP too! Glad you like the card! I will enjoy the warmer weather, I heard them say on the radio this morning that we could get up to 66 on Sunday! I’m sorry that you are having more rain and snow. I don’t even like snow before Christmas! I hope that you have a great day too! 🙂

  3. HI Justin:

I’m late posting as it’s been a really crazy, busy day. I find it strange that colors that I would NEVER put together always look so great when YOU put them together. LOL Great card Justin, keep up the creative combinations! AND thank you for the birthday wish on Brian’s site. I appreciate it.

    • Hello Grace!!

It was a crazy busy day for me too, but that’s the norm! Yeah! I’m glad when others see the colors the way I do! I hope that you had a very happy birthday! I’m putting it in my calendar for next year! 🙂

  4. Justin, this card is the BOMB! I am so IN LOVE with this new DSP… I also made a card for my January class with this very same funky pattern. I am also going to case yours….. love it! I am still playing with my new toys, and hopefully, the 2 days of vacation I have after Christmas will allow me to branch out and discover new creativity! I love your colors in this card too. Merry Christmas!
