Mojo 326 & Sneak Peek

Posted on

Well, that was pretty good day for the 1st of a New Year. I got some projects done in the morning and had some wings for dinner with Andrew. I’m trying to get all of my stuff done before Wednesday so I have some posts ready to make my trip to Leadership a little less hectic. Less than a week to go, people! This weekend will be crunch time for sure and panic will probably set in around Monday. LOL!

My card for today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge provided by the lovely Julee Tilman…

Mojo326

The card starts off with a base of Gumball Green Card Stock and the background is a piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper*. The strip of Tangerine Tango is embossed with the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. For extra stability, I backed the DSP with a piece of Card Stock and adhered the Gold Sequin Trim around the back with Sticky Strip. The panel is a piece of Gumball Green and I adhered the hexagons that were cut out with the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die* to it. My greeting is from the Lots of Thanks Stamp Set and is stamped in Gumball Green. Two “Vintage” 3/16″ Metallic Brads are adhered to the left of the greeting. A nice, bright, cheerful card to ward off the snowstorm we’re supposed to get later! I hope you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I told you that you would be seeing a lot of those Tangerine Tango hexagons! LOL! Thanks so much for your visit today and have a great day!

  1. Hi Justin! This is a nice card…I love the use of the hexagons from the hexagon hive thinlit. So clever!! And of course, sequins…yay! Mine are coming on Monday, can’t wait! I think this stamp set is one of the most practical stamp sets made! Everyone should have it! You’ll do a great job on your presentation at Leadership Justin! You’ll be amongst friends and you are so talented! You’ll do great! Enjoy your Thursday, one day closer to the weekend!!

  2. Justin, Justin, Justin – remember how worried Brian was about presenting at convention? Remember what an unbelievably fantastic job he did? I’m sure you will be wonderful at Leadership. Brian was really nervous beforehand too. You’re going to WOW them! Then you can come back and tell us how much everyone loved your presentation! Karen is right, you will be among friends (and maybe a few jealous demo’s who wished they were chosen to present)! LOL Fab card today. We are at 4 below zero – hope it’s warmer on “the Island”.

  3. Oh my am I late or what? Today’s card is very bright and very uplifting. We are having sub zero temps and wind gusts up to 30 mph blowing all the snow everywhere. Brrrrrrrrr Good Luck at leadership I know you will conquer and win everyone’s hearts.

    • LOL! Better late than never Lisa! Thank you! It is supposed to be very cold here too. We are having the wind and snow right now and I’m not enjoying it one bit! Thank you for you confidence in me for my Leadership trip! 🙂
