Hip Sorbet Parade

Posted on

I can’t believe that today is the last day of Leadership! The time really flew by, but it has been a great time! Yesterday there was a general session in the morning and then a really nice lunch. The afternoon was filled with breakout classes with all kinds of information. I had a very nice “dinner” with Nicole, Maggie and Linda and then last night was Stampin’ Night Out, with Make and Takes, demonstrations and Prize Patrol. It has been a really wonderful time and I’ll be sad for it to be over. I have some pictures of some of my friends and I for you, just some “selfies” that I took!

Now on to the card! Today’s starts off with a base of Pistachio Pudding and the background is a piece of Sweet Sorbet** Designer Series Paper adhered slightly askew. A piece of Summer Starfruit is embossed with the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next up is a piece of Sahara Sand that is cut out with the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlit Die. On top of that is a piece of Vellum that I cut out with the Banners Framelits Dies. My tag is created with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the images are from the Petal Parade Stamp Set**. The leaves are stamped in Pistachio Pudding, the large flower in Crisp Cantaloupe punched out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and the small flower in Summer Starfruit punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. The greeting is from the Hip Notes Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black on Pool Party and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. A piece of Natural 5/8″ Chevron Ribbon tied with some Sweet Sorbet Twine** tops the tag. It’s very hard for me to make a card that is “crooked” but I like the way it turned out. I hope you enjoyed my card for today and my Leadership updates, I’ll be flying home tomorrow. Enjoy your Saturday!

I have to agree with Nancy, this DSP just gets ones creativity started. The best part – look at how many colors will just fit right in. You have a safe flight home and enjoy today and tonight.
