Good day, peeps! Now that we have Monday under our belts we can get on with the rest of the week. My day was pretty average. Work was work, came home, crafted, hung out with Andrew, ran some errands, done! Fabulous news on the weather tonight! Six to twelve inches of snow on the way starting tomorrow at noon. YAY!… NOT. What’s going on in your neck of the woods? If it’s warm where you are, do you have a spare room? LOL!

My inspiration for today’s card comes from this week’s Mojo Monday sketch and it’s a nice, simple sketch from Teresa Kline…

I used the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper as a starting point for my colors. The card base is Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock. A strip of the Retro Fresh DSP goes across the middle with a strip of Coastal Cabana on top of that and tucked underneath is a piece of Tangerine Tango that I cut with the Fringe Scissors. Some Gold Foil Sheet is cut out with the Starburst Collection Framelits Dies and I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and my Paper-Piercing tool to pierce the circle. My greeting comes from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and is stamped in Tangerine Tango; that is also cut out with the Starburst Framelits. Definitely a simple card but I love the color combination from the DSP. And the Gold Foil Sheet looks really cool when it’s paper-pierced. Thanks for taking a look at my Mojo Monday card for this week’s sketch challenge. Your visits and comments are always greatly appreciated and I hope you all have a nice Tuesday! 🙂

  1. The gold foil (silver too)you just gotta love it. It just makes everything pop! Your card, well just couldn’t be any simpler and fantastic. The fringe is so much fun. I need to put these scissors on the next order. I had an ‘doh’ moment when I ordered last time and overlooked them. Sorry Justin can’t offer you a room now we’re have subzero weather again.

    • Thanks Lisa! Yes, I love the foil sheets and the Fringe Scissors are fun! The Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper has great colors! We really need spring, I don’t like all if this snow at all! Have a good day!

  2. Please feel free to keep as much snow as possible!! Unfortunately, the weather people say it’s coming our way too😁! The colors really pop against the Baked Brown Sugar card and the gold ” seal” shines it’s approval. The new fringe scissors will save a lot of time and paper than cutting by hand with regular snips. Have a good day and safe travels!

    • No Beth! I don’t want any of the snow! Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the card! The foil is my favorite, adds a little shine to anything! Yes, the Fringe Scissors are great too! I forgot I had them! LOL! Enjoy your day! 🙂

  3. Hi Justin! What a cute card! Ok, I’ve added the fringe scissors to my next order! You do that quite often to me…I see something and think I won’t use it and then I see how you use it, sometimes in a way I’d never thought of. What is it about that gold and silver foil paper that is just a dream to work with? We are in the deep-freeze here again so not sure you like it here anymore than where you’re at. Although…I think I’d rather have the snow. 😉 Sounds like perhaps another stay-at-home and craft day for you! Enjoy your day Justin and thanks for the inspiration!

    • Hi Karen!
The Fringe Scissors are fun! I’m so happy that I can show you different ways to think of using stuff. I do love the Foil Sheets, they are pretty amazing. I’m done with snow and cold, we have had way too much this year! No crafty day for me, work ruins that! LOL! Stay warm! 🙂

  4. Love the foil with the piercing. I have all the SU piercing templates and I just love them. That little bit of detail can make all the difference in the world. Good luck with the snow. We are going to get it here in Maine also but not until late tonight.

  5. Love the foil… so no problem using the dies with that paper, it won’t ‘damage’ them? It sure does make “noise”. Really fun card, Justin and I love that color combo.

Nope I don’t think you would want to come North to my spare room (right next to my overflowing scraproom though…) as this morning it feels like -30C with the windchill. We are under a cold advisory and again flights are being delayed at Pearson…. but you are most welcome to come over and please bring your presentation (the one I missed at Leadership – spent in Buffalo ;-(….. ) Have a great Tuesday.

    • Thanks you Louise! No, no issues with the dies and the foil. -30 isn’t better than here but thank you! You can see my presentation on February 26th via webinar! 🙂

  6. Love the card and the foil, the fringe, the piercing, the arrows…
The bad news is we just had 5 inches of that horrible cold, white stuff with more to come. I hope it misses you and my brother in NJ. Otherwise, you are always welcome to my guest room! Stay warm and dry, my friend…Nancy B

  10. I love the gold and the way you used it. I feel your pain with the snow. 8 inches and still snowing! The only good thing is that I have no school tomorrow so I have a whole day to play with paper!

  11. Absolutely LOVE your card. What I really want to know about it is how did you get the paper piercing so PERFECTLY centered?
