It being Wednesday and all means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. This week we have the following for you…

PCCCS079 2-05-2014

I do love some flags! I think I was really wanting spring when I made this card, the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog has a nice spring feel to it! My card starts off with a base of Basic Black Card Stock and the background is a piece of Sahara Sand. A strip of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper goes across the middle and also is used for one of the flags. My other flag is a piece of Pistachio Pudding that I embossed with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (also from Sale-A-Bration!) For my greeting is used the See Ya Later Stamp Set (yup, Sale-A-Bration!) stamped in Pool Party and cut out with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. The owl Builder Punch is used to punch out the heart from some Crisp Cantaloupe, perfect fit for the stamp! My three flowers are stamped in Summer Starfruit and are from the Best of Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, they go perfectly with the DSP! Finally, two Subtles Candy Dots complete the card. I really do love the colors in the Sweet Sorbet DSP and I thought that it was really cool the way the tower goes so well with it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Head on over to the blog to see my teammates have for you and enter your card in the taller for a chance to one of the Artisan Picks! I really do appreciate you stopping but to visit with me and I hope that you have a fun Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Justin, Thank you for encouraging Spring to hurry her way to us. We’re all waiting for her arrival. Alaska, boy you move fast! LOL Over night 10 inches of snow and still coming. Sweet Sorbet colors just so cheery. The See Ya Later set is so versatile. Especially like the sentiment you used. Plus the Candy Dots go so well with the Decorative Dots Folder. This would be a great card to receive.

Justin, you are reading my mind & I am sure we are not the only ones!! It was 10 inches of snow where I am in CT & more Sunday??!!! Really!!??!! This looooong and frigid Winter will make Spring and Summer sweeter, right!!??!! 😉 I sure hope so!!!
I love the ribbon you chose for this card!!! I normally use it for accents and bows when I run some dresses (with those awesome & fun Framelets) through the Big Shot, but I love how you used it here to highlight the Basic Black in this lovely, super-Spring-y DSP!!! You have inspired me to try this sketch and color combo this weekend!! TFS the card and your thoughts!! 🙂 Be safe too!!

I forget about ribbon all the time but that one is a good one, subtle! I look forward to seeing your card! 🙂
