Wow! Thursday already! Pretty good speed for this week. The weather you ask… it snowed in the morning and then rained yesterday making the snow nice and heavy and the roads a slushy mess. Last night it went down to 19 degrees so it all froze. Winter is just not very nice this year! I came home last night and crafted for a bit, picked up Andrew from a cappella practice and dropped him at home. He is not feeling well again and has a concert on Friday. Hopefully his cough will be under control by then. It’s miserable being sick as you know but when you sing it’s worse. How is everything in your neck of the woods?
Some more Stampin’ Up! news for you today. They have released another Photopolymer Stamp Set called Sans and Stripes. It’s a fun modern alphabet set. You can stamp them alone or use the stripes one to create a shadow. Check out the image below or click HERE for a PDF of the flyer!
My inspiration for today’s post comes from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. The sketch this week is provided by Cindy…
I had some fun using a bunch of different elements for this card. The base is Soft Suede Card Stock and the background is a piece of Bermuda Bay That I rounded the top corners of. The strip of paper across the lower half is from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. My heart is a piece of Real Red that I cut out with the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies. I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch on a piece of Whisper White and one of the elements from the Circle Card Thinlits Dies on the bottom to cut out the “xoxo”. My greeting is from the Follow My Heart Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede. Three little banners from the Love You More Stamp Set, stamped in Bermuda Bay and punched out with the Banner Punch go across the top of the tag and some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I love the negative “xoxo”, it looks neat with the Designer Series Paper showing through and I really can’t get enough of the red and blue together! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to come and visit me. Here’s to a great Thursday! 🙂

I think of ‘keys to my heart’ with the three little banners. I do not have either one of the stamp sets used. Really a fun card.

Great card Justin! Love the banners and that tag! I need to get out my tag punch! I love how you’ve “punched” out the XOXO! Great Valentine!
Thank you Jennifer! The tag punch is my favorite one at the moment! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Beautiful and cheerful. Love those colors together. And I did not think I would use that particular sheet in the stack but seeing how YOU used it gives me new ideas.
And you can now go see on my blog for the “snow” pictures in our neck of the wook like you say, and a project where I also used that wonderful tag punch. P.S.: it’s still snowing! Seriously?!? What’s up with that! LOL You are right about winter not being very nice this year!
Thanks Louise! I really like all the paper in the stack! I am off to take a look at your blog! I really have had my fill of winter as I’m sure that you have! Come on Spring! 🙂
Will probably be adding one more photo later as it snowed during the night and the little pile on the birdbath grew…. , but let me know what you think so far. Enough snow for your? …. however today is brrrrr cold but sunny! So good to see the sun! Maybe it will melt some of that white stuff!!! Yes, come on Spring!
WOW! Now that is a lot of snow!! We are supposed to get a little ore this weekend. At first they were saying 30 inches and I was ready to leave! LOL! It is sunny and cold here today too. I’ll take that ver what we have had lately! 🙂
I enjoy your blog and I’m always inspired by your creations. I really like the Fresh Prints paper peeking out from the xoxo die cut and the xoxo in the banners.
