Paper Craft Crew 81

Posted on

Well, the snow turned out to be not that big of a deal yesterday! We got about an inch and then it turned to rain. I was never so happy to see rain in all my life! LOL! Things are gearing up at work again. My one day reprieve is over! Last night was a nice relaxing evening. Andrew came over, we ran some errands, had some wine and wings and listened to some music. Not bad for a Tuesday night!

The best thing about Wednesday is that it means we’re halfway through the week. The next best thing is that it means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS081-2-19-2014

I mixed up a few of the elements but still stayed pretty true to the sketch. My card starts off with a base of Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock and the background is a piece of Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. The panel in the middle is a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and backed with a piece of Baked Brown Sugar. My three flowers are from the Secret Garden Stamp Set and are stamped in Real Red and cut out with the Secret Garden Framelits Dies. The butterfly is from the Nature’s Hello Host(ess) Stamp Set and is stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and cut out with the Backyard Basics Framelits Dies. On the lower left is a piece of Real Red that was cut out with the Banners Framelits Dies and on top of that I stamped one of the stamps from the Mosaic Madness Stamp Set in Baked Brown Sugar and punched it out with the Mosaic Punch. The flowers, butterfly and mosaic are all adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really like the versatility of the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, it goes quite well with the Mosaic Madness Stamp Set, and so many other things, too! And that’s my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s sketch challenge! Check out the blog to see what the other design team members have done with the sketch, and enter your card in the gallery so we can see your spin on it. As always, I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂

  1. Oh how I long to see the butterflies fluttering around the flowers. Real Red pops right off the Baked Brown Sugar. Lovely card.

  2. Hello Justin! Nice card! Love the red and brown sugar together too. I just looked at that stamp set (Nature’s Hello) yesterday and thought I should use it. Probably because I have Spring on my mind! Enjoy your day and hope you get your Paper Pumpkin soon! 😉

  3. I just love that mosaic paper! And the mosaic punch has become one of my favorite of all time. It is really neat turned sideways with one of the tiny stamps inside. Bright, happy and beautiful card Justin.

You lucked out getting rain yesterday. Here in Maine we received another 7-8″ AND they are talking more snow late afternoon into evening tonight. It’s weird though as the forecasters are saying it may get to 40 degrees on Friday. Go figure!

    Happy Hump Day!

    • Thank you Grace! Yes, the DSP is great and I haven’t used the punch in a while.
Yes we definitely did luck out. I don’t want any more snow! We have had snow on the ground for it seems like forever! It’s supposed to be in the 50’s here tomorrow! Hopefully it will get rid of some of it.
      Have a great day! 🙂

  4. Wow, you really got a lot of use out of different items to create a beautifil card! That Fresh Prints DSP coordinates perfectly with the Mosaic Madness stamp!! The Baked Brown sugar color is quickly becoming one of my favorite neutrals. On another note, how do I sign up for your Pinterest webinar? I am so new to all of this! Thanks!
