Yup, that was definitely a Monday! We had a Forum at work that started at 10:00 and went until 12:00. The rest of the day was crazy busy, a Monday for sure! After work I came home and had a bunch of errands to run. More of that Monday. When I finished those I decided that I needed a little card therapy so I made my one for today’s post. I hope that your Monday was better than mine!

Before we get to today’s post here are the weekly deals from Stampin’ Up!

Speaking of my card for today’s post, it’s for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch from Julee Tilman…

A nice different layout wouldn’t you say?! I started my card off with a base of Pacific Point Card Stock and used some of the High Tide Designer Series Paper for the background and the strip down the left side as well as the panel in the middle. Behind the strip on the left is a piece of Calypso Coral that I cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelits. Next up, two strips of Pacific Point that I flagged come across from the left. The panel is backed with a piece of Smoky Slate and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Another piece of flagged Pacific Point goes on the left of that. My greeting is from one of the Stamp Sets from the upcoming 2014-2015 Annual Catalog called So Very Happy. I stamped it in Pacific Point and cut it out with my Paper Snips. A piece of Calypso Coral is adhered behind it and also fussy cut. I really love the patterns in the High Tide DSP, the ones I used work great with non-nautical themes too and the greeting is pretty cool with it’s shield shape. And there is my “therapy” card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I hope you enjoyed it and I thank you for your visit, have a great day! 🙂

  1. What a little card therapy will do for you after a crazy Monday. We all need it! Such fun colors. Really like the shield and the whole card. You have rain drops, little dots, flags, diagonal stripes and it all works. With Monday behind you think positive Tuesday will be a much better day.

    • Isn’t that the truth Lisa?! Thank you! I really like it when DSP has some “neutral” patterns in it. I had a better Tuesday and hope that you had a good one too! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin! Glad you’ve got that manic Monday under your belt! Smooth sailing the rest of the week! 😉 Great card—love all the dimension with the banners on top and underneath. And I would not have put those colors together but they look fantastic together. More snow overnight here–more than yesterday morning. I really think Spring needs to get here and stay here. Have a great day!

    • Hello Karen!
Me too! Tuesday was busy but every day at work is busy so I should be used to it by now! Thank you! It does have quite a few layers. I can’t believe that you are still having snow! It was rainy and windy here today but not too cold. I hope the warmer weather arrives for you soon! 🙂

  3. Hi! Love the use of DSP! Paper is much more fun when it can be used out of the box. The new stamp is enticing to see the rest of the set. I’m so glad your therapy worked for you and me. We adopted a six week old puppy who is I’ll so she has been taking up all my time. Have a great week! Nancy B

  7. Love this happy card. This is the truest blue ever-and perfect with the coral. Great image and great stripes. PS: You think your Monday was bad? It SNOWED here today! That blows! (A little funny there. Get it, Justin? Snow? Blows? Hu-hilk!)
