Come on, you know what I’m going to say! I say it every week at this time! It’s FRIDAY!!!! Woo hoo! I really do love a Friday! I had a busy day at work yesterday. I had to go to one of our other buildings and fix the TV’s that play the loop. When that became my job I’ll never know. After that I had to walk around the building and create a map. Do you know how hard it is to create a map of a building that has about 100 rooms in it and no starting point?! It’s not easy I’ll tell you! After work I took a ride with my friend Sandy to her Up-Lines for a meeting. She had some new Catalog stuff, we went over the current promotions and made a card. When I got home at 10:00 last night I had to make today’s card, it was just dying to get out of my head! LOL!
Speaking of today’s card it’s for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge. First I want to thank the wonderful Pals for selecting my card as one of the top picks for last week’s color challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE. Now for this week’s color challenge…
Another patriotic combo! I see that they have Midnight Muse in there so I thought I would dust it off, it is definitely one of my favorite blues! The card base is Real Red Card Stock. I used a piece of Whisper White for my background and stamped one of the paint strokes from the Work of Art Stamp Set in Real Red. The greeting is from the Geometrical Stamp Set and is stamped in Midnight Muse. My two larger stars are cut out with the Stars Framelits from a piece of Midnight Muse and Silver Foil Sheet. I punched three more stars out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from Silver Foil Sheet and adhered all of them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Another simple card but I love the way the paint stroke make it look like a shooting star! There is my card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I’m happy that I let it escape last night! LOL! Thank you so very much for stopping by the blog today. I hope that you all have an awesome Friday! 🙂

Thank you so much Rosemary! Yes, They are like the good stars from school! Nah, I know exactly what you mean! 🙂
Justin,
Great Card! I love the use of the paint splash from Work Of Art, it adds drama to the card (good Drama! lol) I am so excited about the Star Framelits! It is on the order I am placing today! I think they can be used for so many different cards…I am really thinking about using them on my Christmas Cards this year. And yes, I am already planning my Christmas cards! I do it early so that I can get the products spaced out and have everything by September.
We actually have some sunshine today, it is playing hide and seek a lot, but it is there! No gloomy skies today!
I too love Friday’s! I am exhausted by Thursday, from watching my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, so I live for Fridays!
Hope it is a good one for you!
Donna
Donna,
Thank you! LOL! Good drama is the only kind I like! I too was happy to see them! I will get a lot of use out of them! I love a star! They will be great for Christmas!! It’s too early for me to think about Christmas! I will have to think about it at Convention as they are unveiling the Holiday Catalog. The sun peeked it’s head out for a few hours but it’s gone again. We are to get thunderstorms in a few hours. That is a good kind of exhausted spending time with your granddaughter. Enjoy, my daughter is 18 and I don’t know where the time went! Enjoy your evening my friend! 🙂
