Happy Tuesday, folks! Monday turned out to be a very productive day. I got quite a few things accomplished at work which is always a good way to start off the week. More importantly, I got a lot accomplished at home! I managed to pack 5 more boxes in the living room and then the amazing Andrew came by and we tackled the closet. Six full black garbage bags later, it seems much more manageable. LOL! We were good, we put the top down in the convertible, threw the bags in the back and took them to the drop-off box to donate them. Tomorrow, Andrew will be moving stuff for me while I’m at work which I’m very excited about. LOL! It’s definitely the way moving should be done! Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain on Saturday otherwise I will be a very unhappy camper.

Before I started packing last night, I sat down and made my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo351

I was looking around at my recent cards and realized I’ve used Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey far too much. So to mix it up today, I threw some Lost Lagoon in there. The base of my card is Smoky Slate Card Stock. My background consists of a piece of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack on the left and some Basic Gray that I embossed with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next up is a piece of Silver Foil Sheet that I cut out with the Starburst Framelits. Across the middle of the card is a piece of Hello Honey that I flagged on both ends and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My tag is a piece of Whisper White cut to 1 5/8″ wide, I marked the center on the back and slid it in the Angled Tag Topper Punch, a skinnier version of the standard tag. The background on it is created with the Dotty Angles Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Sky. My greeting is from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and is stamped in Lost Lagoon. A piece of White Bakers Twine is looped through the hole in the top. The star is a piece of Smoky Slate that I cut out with the Stars Framelits. I like the way the DSP, Embossing Folder and background on the tag all coordinate so well. I’m also a big fan of the interesting color combination and this would make a good masculine birthday card. Sound off in the comments and let me know what you think of my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. Your visit, as always, is greatly appreciated. Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

  2. Hello Justin! LOVE your card…the color combo is fantastic and I too, like the way you’ve tied in all the dots! It would be a perfect masculine bday card! I also like your tag and how you’ve customized the size of it. Wow—you’re making headway on the packing, aren’t you? It’s good to go thru things every now and then, isn’t it? What an awesome friend you have in Andrew!!! Have a great day!

    • Hello Karen!

  3. Of course you know what my favorite part of this card is Justin – that’s right – the silver foil starburst! LOL I can’t help it, I’m like a little kid – attracted to shiny objects!

I don’t know how you are finding time to make cards in the middle of a move but we are all glad that you are. So where are the photos of the living room painted so we can see the color? Did you have to buy Andrew a new pair of shoes after the bedroom painting?

So glad to hear you had a good Monday, now let’s hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

    • Yes! Thanks Grace! I too am attracted to shiny things! LOL! I need to craft to keep me sane! I will try to be at the new place tomorrow and take a picture. Andrew’s shoes are fine, the paint will wear off the bottom! The bedroom was a lot less messy for some reason. Today has been good, I hope your day was too! 🙂

  4. This has to be the poster card for using many SU products — love it! I particularly like the Lost Lagoon with Basic Gray (an under used color in my opinion). Yes, it is a great masculine card. Six bags? Wow! Good job! Doesn’t that feel great? Now don’t go replacing all that in your new place. I’m all for streamlining after decades of accumulating stuff. I’ve been working hard on getting rid of stuff! Andrew, you are the best friend ever! I hope Justin treats you to a great dinner (and new shoes) after all your incredible help. We can’t wait for more photos of the new place. Is it bigger or smaller than the current one? Have a terrific week and stay safe! Nancy B

    • Thank you Nancy! They really do have some awesome coordinating products! I love all of the colors and I agree with you about the Basic Gray, I always go for Smoky Slate now. I will try to be good, I am striving for na uncluttered life, except for my craft stuff! Andrew is, well, I can’t think of a word that does him justice! He is well taken care of, not to worry! It’s a little smaller in the new place in the bedroom but the kitchen is bigger. 🙂

  5. Lookin’ good in your moving cap, Justin. Could be neutral gender, but leans toward masculine. Nice coordination.

  6. Dots, dots, dots everywhere…….Love it! Not forgetting the Silver Foil starburst. Reminds me of a retro mirror. The custom sized tag is cute too. Andrew is a super friend to keep things rolling for you while you’re at work. Justin you have a whole network of super friends. I would be so excited to have new digs. Especially a new and different creative space. I know I’m excited to see the complete package. You’re so generous to share.
