Pals Paper Arts 210

Posted on

That seemed like a long Monday to me! I am very achey and that’s probably why. Work was pretty good, not a lot going on. I did get to see little Daniel for a bit, he does like a selfie! I can’t stand how cute he is!

Daniel & I 7-07-2014

I love the way he holds on to my necklace, thankfully it’s a strong chain! LOL! I also had card class last night and it’s always good to see everyone. My friend Melissa came and brought Dunkin’ Donut Munchkins, of which I had twelve! They were so good I just couldn’t stop! LOL! The blueberry cake ones are the best!

It’s Tuesday and that means there are new weekly deals from Stampin’ Up! and here they are…

Speaking of my Pals card this week they have a great color challenge…

PPA 210

Love the blues with the gray! It’s been a little while since I used a tag and a few days since I used the Star Framelits! LOL! My card starts off with a base of Basic Gray Card Stock. The background is a piece of paper from the Flashback Designer Series Paper Pack. A strip of Poll Party goes across the lower half of the card and I used the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on it, it matches the DSP so well! The tag is Very Vanilla and made with the Angled Tag Topper Punch. The larger stars are Lost Lagoon, I heat embossed the greeting from the Be the Star Stamp Set in Pool Party on the largest star. The smaller ones have the middles punched out with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and then are cut out with the Star Framelits. A few more stars are punched out from Silver Glimmer Paper. Some Multi-Purpose Glue holds the smaller stars in place and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the large star and the tag. A piece of “Vintage” Pool Party Thick Baker’s Twine is tied through the hole in the tag and a few dots of Multi-Purpose Glue hold the loose ends in place. I really do love the colors, blues are definitely my favorite and the DSP is great! I hope you enjoyed my late night card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts color challenge. Thanks for checking in and enjoy your Tuesday! 🙂

    Hi Justin,
Love the card, love you, love the colors, love everything about it. I don’t know how you do it. I have to sometimes take days to think of how to make a card look. But your late night card is awesome, again you never cease to amaze me. Great job!
Your nephew is way too cute! I love those little chubby cheeks.
Have a great day! Hugs 🙂 Donna

    • Hello Donna!
Thank you very much my friend! I just get really lucky with the creative stuff sometimes! I have cards that take a few days to make and then other ones just happen! Daniel is definitely a cute happy little boy! You just want to squeeze him! You have a great day and big hugs back to you! 🙂

  2. Tuesday Greetings Justin:

Little Daniel is just so beautiful. Look at those eyes! Isn’t it amazing how flawless baby’s skin is? He obviously loves his Uncle Justin. How wonderful to have him so close by that you can stop to see him whenever you want. These days families are so spread out that often they only gather once or twice a year. Count your lucky stars Justin…………………

Speaking of stars, I love the way you used the bitty star punch combined with the star framelits. Blues are also my favorites although I’m sure you already know that my favorite parts of this card are the glitter stars!

I’ve been wracking what little brain I have left trying to come up with a good name for your stamping space…………..I’ve got nothing! Offer a little blog candy Justin and you’ll get so many responses it will take weeks to pick one.

    Have yourself a Thrilling Tuesday.

A good Tuesday to you too! Daniel is little sweetie! Yes, babies have amazing skin, I love to nibble on his little ear and he giggles! I do enjoy seeing him, it’s definitely nice to have him close by!
Thank you! I love the stars, any kind of them! I did think of you when I was adhering the glitter stars! I think that blog candy might be a good idea, I’ll see what I can get at convention!
You enjoy your day too! 🙂

    Good Morning Justin!
Daniel is adorable and seems to be very happy to spend time entertaining his uncle!
Thanks too for posting pics yesterday of Satellite Lane’s performance in Central Park and your travels through Manhattan!
Love the colors and textures of your card today! The band of the pool Party Party embossed with the Argyle folder draws attention to the DSP pattern. The different size stars keeps your eyes moving especially the Silver Glimmer ones! Thanks for the inspiration!!

  10. Hi Justin,
Great card! I love the color’s! Lost Lagoon is such a rich color and I think it goes with so many other colors. The stars are great, I really like the ones that are punched out in the center.
Daniel is so beautiful! What a great “selfie”! I can’t tell, but does he have red hair? You look like a proud uncle holding him. I can never tire from holding babies! I have 10 nieces and nephews, and I loved every moment of being able to hold them. Of course now they are having their own babies.
Do you hold your card classes at your place, or do you go somewhere else? I am thinking that maybe Dunkin Donuts might be a good place for you to have them!

    • Hello Donna!
Thank you! I love Lost Lagoon! I like the “outlined” stars too! Daniel is definitely a cutie and he has such a great little personality! His hair is actually blonde. He is a very happy little boy so no, I don’t get tired of holding him! If I had a bigger place I would have a card class but my apartment is too small. I really should look into having them somewhere else, I don’t know why I didn’t think if that! Thanks! 🙂
