So yes, that was definitely a Monday! Work was silly busy and I didn’t get all that I wanted to get accomplished done. Days like that happen and you just have to roll with them! I did go over and see the girls last night. Heather, Kim and I hung out on the bed and chatted and watched TV, I felt like a kid again! LOL! The little ones were we’ll behaved being entertained by their iPad. It really is amazing at how well little children use technology, it second nature to them! It never ceases to amaze me!
Before we get to today’s post I wanted to let you in on the Tuesday Specials from Stampin’ Up!…
Today my post is for the SUO Challenges Design Team and this time we have a Clean & Simple theme. I kept my card very clean and simple. The base of my card is Pistachio Pudding Card Stock. I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped two of the tree steps of the wreath from the Wondrous Wreath Photopolymer Stamp Set* in Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding. The leaves that I stamped in Pistachio over the Cantaloupe turned a slightly darker shade of Cantaloupe. I fought that was sort of a neat effect. My greeting is from the Christmas Bliss Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Pistachio Pudding. I adhered the stamped panel to the base and added a few Pistachio sequins from the 2013-2015 In-Color Sequin Assortment. Sometime you just need a quick, simple, mailable card and this one definitely fits the bill. I think I will make some more of these in different colors for some of my holiday cards! Wow, beautiful card with lovely colours which can be given as a Christmas card but also winter birthday! Great to see not only yours cards but what a fun weekend you had. I love the cupcake ATM so much tastier than normal ATM’s! I have never tried red velvet cake so going to have to search local supermarket here in Eastbourne as sounds yummy.

Hi Justin! Love your card for today. I am intrigued by how you stamped the pistachio over the cantaloupe (or maybe it was the other way around??) but how clever is that? And it turned out to be a cool effect! And my goodness…how you lined that up so precisely! Mine would never look like that! I love the non-traditional colors for christmas cards also. Love that it’s mailable also. Hope your day isn’t as hectic as your Monday was! 🙂

Thank you! The Pistachio looks a little like Baked Brown Sugar over the Cantaloupe. The Photopolymer makes them very easy to line up, that’s why I love them! Today wash’t much better but we make the best of it! 🙂
Love this card. I really like non traditional Christmas colors. Plus you can mail this without paying a small fortune, most of my cards cost 1.50-2.00 to mail. Very discouraging.
YES! I am so jealous of kids and their ability to master technology. When I was in grad school working on my MBA I had to do a power point presentation on Indian Health Care. The project was interesting and I did an awesome job writing the project, but I could not get the power point. (Sad I know) Well my ten year old son created the power point, He even made an Indian in a canoe going across my pages and a drum beat in the background. I almost diied, it was so perfect. But my instructor knew I could never do that so I made my son remove all special effects. My son is now 20 and this is still a family joke, But rest assured I can now create a power point presentation. Still can’t get the Indian or drum yet

It really is amazing at how quickly the little ones pick up the tech stuff! I wonder if it was around when we were younger if we would have gotten it so fast? I’m really good with tech stuff but I have been interested in it for a long time. Your Power Point sounds amazing! I did one recently where a golf ball cropped in and bounced, you can have so much fun with them! 🙂
