Happy World Card Making Day!! Do you have anything fun planned for today?! I hope that you will be making at least one card to celebrate!! My Friday was a very good one indeed! I got to do my monthly delivery field trip and the rest of the day was manageable as an added bonus! I came home and worked on my card for today and some projects for Sunday. I’m off to Manhattan for a bit this morning to see my friend Isabella. I haven’t see her since the beginning of the summer, lots of catching up to do!
The card that I made for you today is one that popped into my head while my friend Sandy was here for a little visit last night. It’s a simple pretty traditional Christmas card to make up for my very non-traditional one yesterday! 😛
The card base is a piece of Mossy Meadow Card Stock. I think that Mossy Meadow has definitely become my favorite Christmas green! Next up is a piece of Cherry Cobbler. I embossed the “Christmas” from the “Vintage” Joy to the World Stamp Set in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The frame is a piece of Crumb Cake and I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to create it. The merry is cut out with the Little Letters Thinlits across the bottom. My scene is created using the White Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set. All of the elements are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, I colored in the stars with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers and did a little shading under the polar bear with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. I used the Color Lifter to lighten up the shading and adhered the panel to the back of the frame with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. A strip of Crumb Cake under the Christmas completes the card. I love those Little Letters Thinlits, especially the negative of the letters and the White Christmas Set makes it easy and fun to create a little scene! I hope that you like today’s simple Christmas card. I thank you very much for spending a little time with me today! Now go and a make a card and celebrate World Card Making Day!! 🙂

Thank you Sandy! 🙂
What a fantastic card to celebrate world card making day. I love it especially since I am a traditionalist when it comes to holiday cards. The Blendabilities give it such a nice touch.
Enjoy your Manhattan Saturday and thanks for the inspiration Justin.
Yeah! Thanks so much Marty! I know you like your traditional holiday colors! I had a great day in the city and hope that you enjoyed your day too! 🙂
Hi Justin! Fabulous card! I love everything about it! The scale of the letters and the stamp saying is perfect in my mind. Love the traditional color pallet you used, very nice indeed! That little polar bear is so cute, you’ve made it look like he’s looking to the stars to make a wish. Have an awesome day in the city, can’t wait to share the journey with you via your pics! 🙂
Hello Karen!
Thank you!! Yeah!! I love when you say that! I thought the stamp was the best one to go with the letters, that’s why it got dusted off! Yes, I intended that he be looking up at the stars! I had a great day and hope you did too! 🙂
I think the negative letters absolutely catch your eye. The colors and design of this card just scream Christmas to me. I love it! Have fun in Manhattan today. The weather here is dank and misty and not conducive to walking around outdoors but then again, it’s not the weather that makes a wonderful day but rather the people you spend the day with.
Thank you Grace! I like the negatives better than the positives of the letters. It is a very Christmasy card indeed! I had a nice time in Manhattan despite the rain. I was with my friend Isabella in the morning and then wandered a bit by myself! Loved it! 🙂
fun card, love the colours and the negative letters, have fun! take pics!
Thank you Lynne! I had fun, I’ll take some pics tomorrow, too rainy today. 🙂

Thank you Susan! I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut out the rectangle! 🙂
