Happy Friday everyone! That was one of the better weeks, mainly because if the lack of working Monday! I was in Manhattan last night seeing some friends and avoiding Fashions Night Out. I also forgot that Thursday is happy hour night, who doesn’t love a train full of drunk people! LOL!

Today’s post is for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week have a sketch challenge…

Once again, as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what stamp I was going to use! I started with a base of Island Indigo Card Stock. I created a mask and stamped the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Early Espresso on the card. The next layer consists of a piece of Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper mounted to a piece of Early Espresso. I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies to cut the bottom end. A piece of Island Indigo 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon is slid through a Round Designer Ribbon Slide and adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. The panel is then mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the stamped image I used the Heart of Christmas Wood Mount Stamp and stamped it in Island Indigo and again in Cherry Cobbler. I trimmed out the “Christmas” and “that puts christmas in the air” from the Cherry Cobbler image and flagged the ends of the latter. I mounted the cutout pieces to the stamped image with Stampin’ Dimensional pieces. It’s backed by some Cherry Cobbler and mounted to the card with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the finishing touch I used three Metallic 3/16″ Designer Brads across the top right of the panel. I have to say that Heart of Christmas is my favorite wood mount stamp. I think I like the font, I’m a bit of a font junkie. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge card. Thank you so much for checking and keep leaving your comments, I love reading them! Have a crafty kind of day! 🙂
