Create with Connie and Mary 259 & Sneak Peek

Posted on

Hi everyone! How’s it going today? It’s going pretty good over here. Yesterday was gorgeous, a little hot but a beautiful sunny day. I took Winston to work with me yesterday and my friend Danielle’s sister Stephanie brought their dog Dexter up. Winston and Dexter got along quite well, they played and Winston was nice and shared his toys and his water with Dexter. It was like a ghost town at work so it was nice to have the extra company.

Today’s post – Create with Connie and Mary Sketch 259…

CCMC 259

Fun and different wouldn’t you agree? The base of today’s card is So Saffron Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the new Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the 2013 Holiday Catalog. The strip across the middle is a piece of Bermuda Bay that I cut both sides of with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies. The half circle is made using the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die from So Saffron. The images are all from the Around the World Stamp Set and are stamped in Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay and So Saffron. I used the 1 1/4″ Circle punch, Hexagon Punch and Paper Snips to cut them out and some Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them to the card. I like the bold Bermuda Bay with the subtle So Saffron and Soft Suede together. Thanks for coming by to see my Create with Connie and Mary card for this week’s sketch challenge. Have a great Saturday! 🙂

  2. Great card! I appreciate how you line up all your tools after, in picture form. Sometimes something is listed I didn’t pick up right away in the card. I love that you do that!

  3. Fabulous! We’ve only just had our catalogue release in the UK and I’ve bought the stamp set & punch. Shame they wouldn’t let us have those on pre order. Now I just need time to play!
