Monday, Monday… back again already! That weekend was a quick but very good! I had a splendid day yesterday, I got a lot of crafting time and it was a beautiful day here. The temperatures dropped a little last night so I got open up the windows and let in some fresh air. Tonight I get to see Sandy and all of the ladies from card class, something that the child and I look forward to every month. What’s going on in your neck of the woods?
Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week it’s a fun one! The lovely Anne Marie has given us an anything but a card fall themed project…
I do love a 3D project and it has been a while since I have done one. I used one of the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes for the base of my box. I put some of the cool birch paper from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit on either side and slid the plastic cover on. The top greeting is made by cutting out thankful with one of the Expressions Thinlits Dies and using the negative. I backed it with some more of the birch paper and adhered it to the top of the box with some Sticky Strip. The bow is made with Early Espresso Core’dinations and the Gift Bow Bigz L Die. I then embossed it with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and wrapped another small piece of the birch paper around the center to “tie” it all together! I really love the Expressions Thinlits and the negative cut out is just as great as the regular one. I thank you very much for taking some time to come by and see my Paper Players project for this week’s fall themed anything but a card challenge from Anne Marie. Scroll down past the supplies to see my third Display Project using the Mosaic Suite. Enjoy your day! 🙂

I love that you used the negative space of the thinlit, rather than just cutting out the word from the birch paper. Nice touch! I bet it’s even more awesome in person. I also love this bow. Very nice!
Thank you very much Brian! It’s a good way to use the negatives that you have left. I love the texture on the birch paper. I hope you have a wonderful day! 😉
Love your thankful box, Justin! There is so much texture between the woodgrain and the birch paper, and that bow is amazing! Love your mosaic project too. So cool that the dsp aligns with the window sheet. Why didn’t I figure that out?!
Thank you Sandy! I love the texture too! It took a while to line up the DSP but worth it! Have a great day! 🙂
Loving your projects today Justin! I have to have that bow – looks great on masculine projects but will work so well on girly ones too! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Loz! The bow is great and will definitely work well for many different things. Have a good day!
Amazing. Both projects are amazing. Love the way you did the box and the way you lined up the dsp with the overlay. Amazing.
Oh, umm, I guess you ate the cookies again? 🙂
Thank you Cynthia! LOL! Yes, I ate the cookies again! Enjoy your day! 😉
Great idea for the Tag a Bag set! I’ve been trying to decide a Thanksgiving table treat for both men and women, and I think I just found it! Love the Birch look. Thanks for helping all of us come up with new inspirations!!
Thank you Carol! And thank you for stopping! 😉
Love the box! Great idea to use the negative space. Have to try it!
Best regards, Miriam (your fan from The Netherlands 🙂 )

What a fun fall project Justin! I love how you used the negative space on the thinlit…the hint of woodgrain peeking out looks awesome. I have to get that bow die.
