Last night I went to Chili’s for dinner with my friend Danielle and then we went to see my friend Andrew perform with his A Cappella group at the Long Island Children’s Museum. They opened for another group called Cluster. Both of them were amazing! It really is incredible what they do, they make it sound like there are instruments involved and there aren’t any. You can check out cluster on iTunes and you can see my friend Andrew and his group perform by clicking here.

Now for today’s post which is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches. This week’s sketch is provided by Narelle…
Pretty neat layout huh?! The base of my card is Old Olive Card Stock. I used a small piece of paper from the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack for the background. The strip of Cherry Cobbler that goes across the middle is embossed with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. My panel in the middle starts off with a piece of Old Olive and adhered to to of that is a piece of Gold Foil Sheet. The flags are more Gold Foil Sheet that I cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. For the greeting I stamped the got mistletoe from the Very Merry Tags Stamp Set in Old Olive and used the Extra Large Oval Punch to punch it out. Some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details fills in the berries and the lips are from the Best of Love Stamp Set and are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Sometimes you just need a traditional holiday card and the Gold Foil Sheet pairs really nicely with the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler. Thanks for taking a little time to stop by and see my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge from Narelle. Enjoy your Thursday! 🙂

Well Justin, that card is a show stopper for sure. Being the Queen of Bling I, of course, think the gold foil really made the card POP! Just love it. By the way, what size do you normally make your cards – are they A2 or square?
Watched your friends in action. Not only are they good but they look like they are having so much fun. You just want to join in singing with them. Thanks for sharing.
Well, that you very much Grace! I’m glad to know that you are the queen of bling! My cards are standard A2 mostly. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, I think it would have sounded better if they weren’t in a gym! 🙂
Chili’s? Come out to NM for some real Mexican food! I do love your card, really fun.
Sounds like a plan to me Wendie!Glad you enjoyed the card!
I love acapella music too, Justin! If you haven’t heard the band “Straight No Chaser,” I highly recommend checking them out. Their version of the “12 Days of Christmas” rocks!
P.S. – love the lips on the card. So fun!
I will have to give them a listen Crystal, thanks! Glad you enjoyed the card too! 🙂
