Paper Craft Crew 93

Posted on

Apparently either I got the weather wrong or the weather man did! It was another lovely day here yesterday, cooler but beautiful. I think they said the rain was supposed to start sometime today and then again on Friday. Work was nice again today, I usually have a little morning chat with my boss when she comes in and I have come to really enjoy it. When I got home last night I made a card and then went out an ran some errands. I needed to get some lunch for the rest of the week and pick up a new screen protector for my watch. The rest of the evening was quiet, which is always nice.

Today is Wednesday and that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew for our sketch challenge…

PCCCS093 Sketch 5-14-2014

I had a little fun with the sentiment on today’s card and you’ll appreciate it when you see it! My card base is Basic Black Card Stock and the background is a piece of Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper. The tag, lower flag and Love circle are all from the Project Life Everyday Adventure Card Collection and the Accessory Pack. I used the Circles Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of Whisper White to back the love and the two more from Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzaz. The Friday is from the Project Life Day to Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black. I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch on the journaling card and trimmed a little off the bottom. An Essentials Wooden Elements triangle is at the top. I also cut out a piece of adhesive cork sheet with the Circles Collection Framelits and slipped it behind the tag. All of the elements are adhered to the card and each other with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the nice bright colors and patterns in the Project Life set and the way the triangle and cork oppose all of the modern geometric elements. You can also see why I said that I had fun with the greeting, Love Friday, yes I do! LOL! A fun card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge, don’t you think?! Make sure and go over to the blog to check out the other projects from the rest of the design team and enter your card in the gallery so we can see your interpretation of the sketch. Love having you visit with me, thanks! Enjoy your day everyone! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin! Nice card! I am going to miss that DSP but there are some wonderful new ones! You may have convinced me to get some of the Project Life products (can you say 3rd pre-order?) Love how you complimented the triangle designs in the paper with the Essentials Wooden Elements. Thanks for sharing…enjoy the nice weather! 🙂

    • Hello Karen!
Thank you! Yes, I will miss the Kaleidoscope DSP. There are always great new ones but I need to get to love those and that takes time sometimes! LOL! The Project Life stuff is neat, I’m not a scrapbooker but I love some of the patterns and elements in it. I just did y second pre-order this morning. Love those wooden elements too! Have a great day! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin:
So good to be back from my vacation and playing catch up. When I saw the half circle it looked like an oatmeal cookie to me. I must be hungry! LOL Great card with my absolute favorite DSP of all time. I love the Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz together, it looks like they were made for each other. Super card and I missed you and Brian for my daily dose of SU perfection while I was gone. I’ve just got to get myself either a laptop or a smart phone so I don’t go through withdrawal again!
