Paper Players #144 :-) & Sneak Peek

Posted on

Happy Sunday! How is your weekend so far? Mine is good despite the fact that I had to work all day yesterday, I did get to rappel off of the side of a 12 story building! I thought I would be a little nervous but once you lean back over the ledge and stand there for a minute it’s all good! I had a great time and I can’t wait to do it again. Here are a few pictures, I ‘m the little dot at the top!

The last picture is my friend Danielle and I all geared up. It really was a lot of fun! Now, it’s Sunday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week we have a theme from Anne Marie, Mother’s Day…

Paper Players 144 Theme 5-05-2013

Perfect timing for next week! The base of my card is Melon Mambo Card Stock. I used the Ovals Collection Framelits and a piece of Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper* to cut out a frame. In the center of the frame are images from the Secret Garden Stamp Set cut out with the Secret Garden Framelits Dies. They are stamped in Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzaz. The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy and backed with some Night of Navy that is pierced on the edges. Thanks for stopping by to see my framed flowers Mother’s Day card for this week’s Paper Players Theme Challenge from Anne Marie. Please go and visit the Paper Players blog to see what the other talented designers have for you and enter your card for a chance to be A Cut Above or Make the Headlines. I hope that you all have a nice Sunday!

  1. I love your card, and how you combined the new dsp with Secret Garden. It will be on my sample board in June! And your repelling photos! Awesome!

  2. Beautiful card. Amazing how the new DSP goes so well with the new paper. Think SU did that on purpose. 🙂

  3. Wow, Justin you are brave to rapell that building, don’t know if I could do it. As for your card…the new dsp is not grabbing me. I ordered it with the sneak peak…but it’s really not my style. I’m gonna try to create a card with a very small strip of it…and see how it looks. Thanks for sharing your brave decent with us!
    Happy Sunday!

  8. What a stunner, Justin! I’m not only referring to your amazing card, but to your adventurous side as well in willingly rappelling down the side of a building. The way you’ve layered and framed the flowers is just beautiful. I love this card!

  9. Justin, you are such a daredevil to try rapelling!! I’m nervous looking at your photos…but I have a wee fear of heights, so that would make sense, right? Before we know it, we will see you in the next big action blockbuster in a super hero cape. Whoo hoo! Your card is gorgeous! You and I were ceetainly on the same “page” (of DSP) with this challenge, too! Haha!!

    • LOL! Thanks Anne Marie! I’m not a huge fan of heights but I thought it would be a good way to conquer my fear! I really did love it! Yes, we were definitely “connected” on the DSP! Have a great weekend! 🙂
