Paper Players 160

Posted on

I know that I say it every Monday but boy did that weekend fly by. Yesterday was pretty nice, I did my projects and played around with some new ideas. Then around 8:00 I got a raging headache so I took some Excedrin and laid down. Wouldn’t you know I fell asleep and woke up at 12:00! Ha, that was definitely not a good thing. When I got up I wanted to sit at the craft desk again but I thought that would be a bad idea! It took a while to get back to sleep and I was up early this morning. Let’s see how long before I need a nap at work! LOL! The weather here yesterday was gorgeous, nice and mild with a breeze and perfect leave the windows open sleeping weather last night. The weather everyday should be like yesterday!

Today my post is for this week’s Paper Players. Before I get to it I wanted to thank Nance for selecting my card for her Cut Above for last week’s one layer card. You can see the winners list here and my original post here. This week Nance has given us a really cool sketch to work with…

Paper Players #160

I had a picture in my head of what I wanted the card to look like before I got started, love that! The base of the card is Gumball Green Card Stock. I used the Off the Grid Stamp and some Tangerine Tango Card Stock and Tangerine Tango Ink to create my background. Next up is some Witches’ Brew Designer Washi Tape on the diagonal with a thin strip of Gumball Green in the center. The stamped image is from the Halloween Bash Stamp Set. I stamped it three times, once in Gumball Green then in Tangerine Tango and again in Basic Black. The Gumball one is punched out with the Decorative Label Punch, the Tangerine one with the Scallop Oval Punch and the bat is cut out with my Paper Snips. All of them are adhered to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The three Gumball Green chevrons are punched out with the Chevron Border Punch and are also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really love the Gumball with the Tangerine and Black, it gives the card a nice pop of color. I will definitely incorporate more Gumball into my Halloween projects! Thank you for visiting me today to see my Paper Players card for this week’s sketch from Nance. Have a good Monday! 🙂

Justin I sure hope you feel better by now. We just had quite a storm go by here and my head is pounding! The dark clouds are all gone and the thunder has stopped so hopefully so will this headache.

But for the important stuff now: love the punch of green on this card! And one could not overlook the fussy cutting either…. Now I did not think I needed the chevron punch but after seeing this, guess what I just added to my August order! LOL

I may try to play with this challenge too. (Done the PCCCS55 and FMS101 – woo hoo)
