Now on to today’s post. It’s Monday and that means it’s time for the Paper Players! This week we have a fun challenge from Lovely LeAnne…
I was quite happy when I saw this because a little over a month ago I made a card that works perfectly for this challenge. I got my inspiration from Pinterest and I was saving it… just for this… yeah… that’s right! LOL! The base of my card is Gumball Green Card Stock. The little strip of paper across the bottom is from the Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper Pack. All of my images are stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla. The pine branches are from the “Vintage” Watercolor Winter Stamp Set and are stamped and stamped-off in Always Artichoke. My circles are from various middles of stamp sets and are stamped and stamped-off in Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron and Blushing Bride. I choose my greeting from the More Merry Messages Stamp Set and it is stamped in Coastal Cabana. Finally some sequins are randomly placed in coordinating colors. I love the way the circles and sequins look like lights on a tree and the mix of colors is just fun! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Evergreen challenge from LeAnne. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Hello Justin—Just as I was starting to have sequin withdrawal…this is an awesome card!! This is so clever and it does look as if the card is lit from within. Thanks for sharing your beautiful works of art with us! Make it a great Monday!!
LOL! I was having sequin withdrawal too! Thanks Karen! Thank you so much for letting me know that you enjoyed the card! Have a fantastic Monday! 🙂
Lovely! The circles and sequins give it a bokeh effect!
Thanks Margarita! Yes, I do love the Bokeh effect! 🙂
I don’t know whether to thank you or not…your cards keep blowing up my wish list! You make a card… I love it. You use a set I didn’t love, now I need it. See my dilemma? Ok thank you for the inspiration, there I said it. Now onto my wish list! 🙂 No really, I love this card!
LOL! Sorry Julene! I’m really glad that you like my projects! I do see your dilemma! I’m so happy that I inspire you, thank you for letting me know! I hope that you have great Monday! 🙂
Love the watercolor winter stamp but can’t find it in the catalogue. What is the number.
Thank you Yvonne! It’s actually Retired, that what I mean by Vintage! 🙂
Yeah! The sequins are back, the sequins are back, the sequins are back! LOL Love the card. O.K. – so the reason I get excited about ways to use the sequins is that my daughter owns a dancing school hence, Mother often worked on costumes with, you guessed it, lots of sequins. As a result, I probably own enough of the things to cover the outside of the Titanic!
Yeah! Thanks Grace! I love sequins! They are a nice little embellishment! You will definitely have enough to have some fun with them! 🙂
Yay, I love your retro-styled card, Justin! I had to really reach back in my memory bank to recall that pine branch…..and I love how you used it! The colors are fabulous….a real treat to look at! Thanks for sharing this with us and playing with my Paper Players Evergreen challenge this week!
Thank you LeAnne! The Watercolor Winter set is still a favorite of mine. Thanks for the great challenge! 🙂
OH my Goodness! I love this card! I love the colors, the sequence, and Watercolor Winter is one of my favorite stamp sets! Love, love love it!!!
Donna
I was so excited, I spelled sequins wrong!
LOL!! I knew exactly what you meant!! 🙂
Woo hoo! Thanks Donna! Watercolor Winter is one of my faves too! Have a great day! 🙂
Lovely Justin! Today’s card reminds me of the old vintage Christmas cards. Soft and muted looking. Really like the Watercolor Winter set. Too bad I don’t have it. I mentioned that I’m warming up to non-traditional colors for Christmas, if you check out Brian King’s blog post from Sunday, you’ll see what I mean. I sent in a card for his swap. Again very nice card today.
Thank you Lisa! Yes, the colors and the Bokeh do give it a vintage feel. I’m glad that you are liking the non-traditional colors more. That’s your card on Brian’s blog?! I love that card!! It’s so bright! 🙂
I adore this card, Justin! Love the retro colors and dots, combined with the sequins and pine branches. Great take on the challenge!
Thank you Sandy! I do love my sequins! 🙂
Amazing awesomeness Justin!!!!!! Your card is retro and fresh, all at the same time!!!! Fantastic colors, circles, and especially sequins!!!
Thank you so much Laurie! Sequins make everything better! 🙂
Absolutely beautiful, Justin! One of your best.

Jaydee
Thank you Jaydee, I do loves me some sequins! I love you guys!! 🙂
This card is wonderful! I love it!
What did you use to get the various sized circles? Can’t seem to find them in the catty.
Thank you very much Sue! I actually used the middles from stamps to do the circles. 🙂
LOVE this card !!!!! Circle stamps= middles from stamps ?? (can you give me an example ??) Thanks 🙂
Thank you Lisa! It’s the leftover from the stamps, the extra rubber. Did that help?!
*Love* this card, Justin! Very artistic/creative use of the pine needle spray with the colored circles! Wonderful effect!!!
Thank you very much El! Enjoy your weekend.
