Well, I’m a very happy boy today and you know why! It’s FRIDAY! Wee! This week at work has felt long and I will be glad to have some much needed craft therapy this weekend. I always feel so much better after I have made something, don’t you?! I don’t have any definite plans for the weekend so we’ll see what happens. It’s not like my house couldn’t use a little TLC! Before I get to today’s post I want to thank the lovely ladies over at Just Add Ink for choosing my card as their favorite for last week’s just add snowflakes. You can see the JAI post here and my original post here. 🙂

Today is also a great Friday because once again it’s time for Fab Friday! It’s also our 25th sketch! Thank you all for playing along! This time we have a simple sketch for you…

Fab Fri 25 Sketch 8-23-2013

I do love a ticket and I noticed that the Halloween Bash Stamp Set came with one! The base of my card is Summer Starfruit Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Witches’ Brew Designer Series Paper. I put it on upside and I am sticking with it’s so the bats can read it! (Thanks Sandy!) The greeting is from the Halloween Bash Stamp Set and is stamped in Pumpkin Pie and backed with a piece of Pumpkin Pie. Two thin strips of Basic Gray are embossed with the Needlepoint Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, it reminded me a little of Frankenstein! I mentioned the ticket and it’s stamped in Summer Starfruit and punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. I love the simplicity and the stamp set is great! Thank you for stopping by to see my Fab Friday Design Team card for our 25th sketch challenge. Head on over to the blog and take a look at all of the other great projects my fellow design teammates have for you. Don’t forget to enter one of your creations for us to see! I hope you have pleasant Friday! 🙂

  1. Great card! Those bats are really good at reading. Love the addition of the Needlepoint on the sides of the greeting. Adds nice texture and just the right “something” to pull your eyes in to the words on the greeting. Nice touch!

You’re Funny, when you wrote, “Up-side”, so the Bats can read it!

Congratulations on your win. So well deserved. That card is just fabulous. Should I send you my address so you can mail it? LOL Probably have to take a number!

Great card again. I had noticed the ‘upside down’ text when I first saw it but I do that all the time…. in my case I blame it on my glasses… some day they just don’t seem to ‘see’ right you know. Your explanation is much better.

    Enjoy the weekend.

    • Thank you Louise! Sure, but yes there is a line! LOL!

I didn’t notice at first, the upside down DSP, but yes I liked my friend Sandy’s explanation better!

      Have a great weekend!
