Hello from rainy Atlanta! It rained most of the day yesterday which made it a good day to spend some quality time in the Fungeon! We did go out of a nice breakfast and then Brian suggested a Thai restaurant for dinner called Annie’s for and it was delicious! I’m having a very nice time and not looking forward to going home already this morning, it’s been too quick!
On a happy note yesterday was my parents anniversary. I wanted a fun and different card so this is what I came up with. The base of the card is Very Vanilla Card Stock and I used the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners. I cut a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe out with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies and pierced the edge with the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack. I cut another oval out in Very Vanilla and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and the Amazing Family Stamp Set to stamp the words in Soft Sky, Pool Party, Costal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo. The greeting is from the Express Yourself Host(ess) Stamp Set, I used my Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Write Marker to marker the stamp and split the greeting. I then used the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies to cut out the ampersand from Crisp Cantaloupe and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few scattered Basic Jewels Rhinestones complete the card. I like the graduation of the blues paired with the Crisp Cantaloupe and a little bling makes everything better! Thanks so much for stopping by to see my card for today. Have a good Sunday and I’ll see you tomorrow for my Paper Players card! 🙂

Lovely! Once again, you are the master of sprinkling jewels. The paper piercing adds a lovely touch. So wonderful to have you in the Fungeon yesterday. Can’t you stay a bit longer?
Thank you Brian! And thank you for a wonderful weekend! I wish I could stay longer! I had a great time!
This is a really beautiful card, Justin. Mom and Dad are going to love it. Glad you are having fun and have a safe trip home!
Thank you Sandy! 🙂
adorbs! They’ll be delighted when they receive it! Rainy days are the best stamping days–especially with a soul-“sibling”! My sister and I get together for just that reason whenever possible!
Thanks Annie! Yes, the rain was ok! Stamping was great as was the whole weekend! 🙂
Pretty card…I know they will love it ! I am sorry you had rain down here in the sunny south but, as you said it gave you some fun time stamping with your friend . The colors in your card are really lovely ….. Well done ….
Thank you Sonny! The rain was fine. It was good to “Stamp with Brian”! 🙂
Now see Brian – I would not have thought of separating the Happy from the Anniversary when they were both on the same stamp – AND – you spaced them perfectly. Great job!
Thanks Grace!
OOOOPPPPPSSSSSS – So sorry Justin! I meant to say Justin but since so many comments mentioned Brian I said Brian. So Sorry. Gettin’ old isn’t all that easy!
LOL! That’s ok, you’re forgiven! 🙂
This is such a beautiful card. Nice that you still have your parents. Rainy day here and feeling those weekend over blues too and I didn’t even go away and I am retired! I love how you describe your card before you post the picture. I like to imagine what it will look like, etc. Loving your double row of piercing, rounded corners and perfect stamping! Glad you had such a nice time away.
Thank you Nancy! Yes, I love my parents, they are amazing! I don’t usually get to go many places but it’s nice every once in a while! Enjoy your Sunday!
What a beautiful card. I’m sure your parents will treasure it.
Thank you Wendie! 🙂
I hope your parents love their card, Justin. I love the color scheme on this one.
Thanks Crystal! 😉
I also like that you split the happy from anniversary. And, your use of the popped up ampersand to connect both mother and father! Very Nice!!
Thank you Jeanne! Have a good day! 😉
Surprised myself – love the card but normally hate crap cantaloupe! So, you’ve done a good job towards changing my opinion. Maybe I’ll give it another chance….x
LOL! It’s Crisp, not crap Lesley! I’m glad you are swaying! 🙂
XO
I never, ever, never would have thought to combine those two sets Justin. Such a beautiful and different card, Happy Anniversary to your parents and glad you had a super weekend, it will make Monday more bearable!!
Thank you Lynne! I like to mix it up! Had a great weekend! 🙂
*Love* this card, Justin! Very pretty color combo and very clever use of the 2 stamp sets! The ampersand really adds to the overall design, too. Great design!!! And best wishes to your parents!

What’s a fungeon?
LOL Theresa! That’s what Brian calls his stamp space, it’s in the basement! 🙂
Lovely card Justin. I especially like how you graduated the colors from top to bottom. What parent wouldn’t love a handmade card from their son. It’s a bummer your getaway weekend had to come to and end. Wait, there is always the next time and the next time maybe you can have Brian come to your home.
Thank you Lisa! The weekend went way too fast! Yes, I would love to have Brian come here! 🙂
