Just Add Ink 226

Posted on

Hello my friends. Today is the funeral and I’m in Pennsylvania. I am still remembering only the good times and fun that I had with my grandmother and thinking of the lovely comments from all of you. They all mean so much to me. I don’t have much else to say today so I’ll just get to my card.

I paid a visit to the Just Add Ink blog the other day. I haven’t done one of their challenges in a while so when I saw the sketch I knew just what I wanted to use…

JAI Sketch 226

Can you guess what it is? No peeking! LOL! My card is somewhat of a tall and skinny card, the base is a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that I cut to 3 3/4″ wide. On top of that is a piece of All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper*. I stamped the wreath from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz and Lost Lagoon. The berries are heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the the wreath is cut out with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. A piece of Gold Sequin Trim is adhered to the wreath with Mini Glue Dots. The piece of Lost Lagoon that goes across the card is flagged on the right side and a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper goes across the bottom. The joy is from the Snowflake Card Thinlits* and is cut out from Gold Foil Sheet. All of the pieces are adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue and the strip is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I just love that wreath and the berries in gold are pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Just Add Ink sketch challenge. I thank you and will be thinking of you today. I hope you have a good Saturday! 🙂

What a beautiful card! I love the colors you chose, works well together! I’m not a big fan of off centering my projects, (always afraid things get ruined in the mail), but this looks great! Nice job? 🙂
Will be thinking of you today, keep on remembering all the fun and good times you had. Stay strong, get your rest and eat. (I know always easier said than done). Just wondering, where in PA are you?

Thank you! I really am enjoying that Wondrous Wreath set! I like it when things are a little off kilter, sort of like me! LOL! Thank you for thinking of me. I had three hours sleep and was in the card for far too long today. I was in Ringtown, can you find it?! The day wasn’t actually too bad. I hope that you had a nice day! 🙂

  16. Justin – What a beautiful card! I love the twist of making the berries with gold embossing powder, and the gold sequin trim as the “ribbon” trailing down from the wreath. Excellent. I hope you and your family will feel your grandmother’s love upon you, and share wonderful memories together. Hugs.
